Les Mills Kia Kaha

Back Home

Aotearoa....back home :-)

Touched down in the land of the long white cloud...and oooohh, it ain't Texas let me tell you!!! Brrrrrrr..

Yup, its back to about 15 degrees for Dan & I, and home sweet home!

We were a tad sad at leaving Team America in the states...but at the same time, we had some wicked memories of our first trip to the US of A!

Our bus trip to the steps of the famous scene in ROCKY, where we all HAD to do the honours and follow our fore -fathers up to the mecca that is that Museum place, thingy me bob, where he runs up the steps!!!

Dan has his picture taken, (cheers Mac..can we have a copy?) which was a moment we will never forget...

Our trip to a real Honky Tonk in Texas, where we all ate, drank and were merry :-) Real cowboy's and cowgirls were havin' a ball on the dance floor, so I grabbed Dan and said "C'mon let's join in...pleaaaase?"

Like I'm gonna miss this opportunity!! Well, lets just say...I'm still alive....phew...they move fast, and there's me with little sandals on (that's jandals to you kiwi's :-), with all these cowboy boots around...eeeek!

A few Coronas later, and we are homeward bound...

That reminds me of a little ditty...goes a little somethin like this... (name that tune...)

"There's a voice, keeps on callin' me...
Down the road that's where I'll always be..
Every stop I take...I make a new friend......"

Luv R & D xx

Just wanted to say what an awesome team you and Dan make! I was at the quarterly in Dallas and had the most wonderful time with all of the Les Mills team. I have already made plans to go to the next workshop in August. Hope to see ya'll there...if not keep rockin'!!! You guys inspire me to another level of teaching...keep up the great work! By the way, someone from these parts should have warned you about wearing sandals to a country western club. Poor girly! Take care you guys!

The phrase comes from my memory (forgive me if its a little 'iffy')...but it's from a fond childhood program of mine..

Appreciated everything, especially you guys taking the time to go to our Suwanee club to rock out with Combat and Pump. Very fun and you guys were so nice and spoke to everyone. You guys ROCK!!!

It was so nice to have you in Canada during Can-Fit-Pro and I hope that you enjoyed your stay in the land of the Maple Leaf. You are both fantastic, inspiring and so nice (but Dan you forgot to dedicate track 8 to me as you had told me you would :(
- of course I forgive you! :)).

Rachel it was so nice to be able to talk to you for a while ('loved your story about the lipstick during the taping!)you seem to genuinely love what you do so keep doing it!

I'm definitely planning a trip to New Zealand for next year and I really hope to see you both there ... too bad I'm allergic to kiwis!!!

Take care guys ... I can't wait to teach BC 25 and Body Jam!!!!

Hi Rach,

It's me, Bev from Amsterdam (formerly of UK) I don't often scope out this site but saw that you and Dan are having a ball and just wanted to say, good on ya lass. Just came back from our qurterly workshop in the south of Holland.. looks a bit like Cheshire without the Barbers and wellies and yah! accents. Any way I am sad that I am no longer teaching combat, the clubs in Amsterdam have been very slow on the uptake. A couple of colleagues are still doing it and they love you guys!! (who wouldn't) Just completed my attack training here so looking forward to shedding the excess kilos that the lazy life i have now has given me. I am preparing to go home for chrimbo..back to sunny Warrington. I am a bit home sick at the mo so it was nice to hear your fun stories.

I will be at Fit pro in April lugging equipmet around as usual.. but for now i will say tarah!

Hello Rachel,Dan,

I don't know if you'll read this but he I can try.

Thank you for the great Body Combat training DVD's, it helped
me to lose 60 pounds in weight and feeling really great.

I hear that you'll come to Veldhoven in the Netherlands, unfortunatly we can't participate because we are no trainers but our trainers Winnie and Luuk will participate and they will try to make pictures.

See you in Holland.

Regards
Arjanne
