Les Mills Kia Kaha

The Infamous K2

Team RPM are taking on the challenge of the "K2" a 200km road race around one of New Zealands most scenic locations. The Coromandel peninsula is situated approximately 2 hours south east of Auckland and boasts some of the most beautiful coastlines, beaches, native forests and mountains that NZ has to offer.

The race it self begins and ends in a small town called Whitianga and covers 200km's of coastline and hills. There are 7 climbs ranging from 145 meters to 425 meters above sea level, all of which will challenge the riders.

The team, Dan, Fraser, Sarah and myself have begun the training process as we head toward this epic ride. There will be lots of long endurance rides, hill rides and short fast stuff in the training program. (Not to forget our own RPM classes that have given us our cycling base.)

Watch this space as Team RPM prepares to tackle the infamous K2.

Ride well.
