BODYPUMP In The Parking Lot

Dutch holidaymakers are doing it on the beach (more info and pics) and we’re hearing of some other unusual settings for BODYPUMP classes. Check this one out from Idaho, USA, courtesy of Tim and Millie Eylar and Tammy Sette from the World Gym in Post Falls (where Millie is Group Fitness Manager and Tammy an instructor. Tim’s a trainee US trainer for BODYPUMP and RPM.)

The First Annual "PUMP IN THE PARKING LOT" was a smash. Imagine over 100 people pumping iron outside on a nice summer evening with great music! For anyone who's trying to get fit it's a dream come true. A big stage, powerful sound system and 4000 square feet of carpet over the asphalt of Hot Rod Cafe provided the perfect setting to showcase "Car Wash" from release 54.

In cooperation with the Hot Rod Cafe we pulled off a fund-raiser for Wishing Star foundation with the BODYPUMP class as the featured attraction. Together we raised over $1,100!

After the class, the party continued with a barbecue, full bar, live rock & roll band and a silent auction. Plans are already in the making for PUMP IN THE PARKING LOT 2 - get your ticket early!

Check out the pictures here.

Thanks for the inspiration -- any logistical advice for a club to pull it off???
Cheers and thanks!

We even had a Sunset Bodypump event on the beach. We actually had to search for the Sunset, due the weather wasn't very good, but it was great fun. Check the pics on:

Looking forward to the next workout!

We did a Parking Lot Event "Spring Break" theme - Pump, RPM, Step, Latin Cardio in front of our Gym in Orlando Florida 2 years ago this coming spring. It was a hugh sucess. One thing we did learn that the steps do not like the heat.( we did not even think it was that hot - according to Florida standards) Our steps warped and had to be replaced because they were no longer level -hence not safe for Body Step. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this but just a word of caution.
