Les Mills Kia Kaha

K2 Round Up

A great way to see New Zealand and a great way to sharpen up your technique for RPM! The K2 road race was just an awesome experience for the 600-plus competitors, including yours truly and the rest of the Les Mills team, Sarah, Dan and Fraser. We rode together for most of the race – which was run in perfect (cloud but calm) conditions over 200 kilometres of some of our best scenery – including some wicked hills like the infamous Hikuai range – a 16-km haul. And we finished in a respectable six and a half hours which would have seen Sarah win her division if she hadn’t had a puncture just an hour into the race.

Afterwards it was back to reality in Auckland – filming RPM 30 just two days later. The good news is this tape rocks! We’ve gone edgy-sassy with some of the songs, which is great for building some attitude into the workout.

Sarah and I leave for the USA today to join the training team for BODYATTACK which we're launching there for the first time, Can’t wait! Dan’s also heading to North America for a training tour.

The shot above is me and Sarah, post-race. The other pics show Dan at the start, Sarah on the downhill and the four of us on the flats.
