Thanksgiving Day

Well Thanksgiving day.........................
OUR VERY FIRST THANKSGIVING!!!!
Glen and myself were lucky enough to be invited to Angel Santiago (soon to be one of the US trainers) home for a thanksgiving dinner! We were among all their friends and family - what a great time to spend together over a meal!

Arriving at their home just before 12pm, I then realized what actually went into preparing for a thanksgiving dinner! Angle's wife Theresa did a wonderful job! Firstly the turkey - how big was that bird? 18lb!!! Huge - it took over 4 hours to cook! There was also ham, lasagne, special spanish rice, vegetables, salad -you name it.

AND THEN dessert - our first taste of real pumpkin pie - how good does it taste? Amazing - for us kiwis - pumpkins are to be roasted or cut up for soup - never it is sweet. The first thing that Glen said when we got back to the hotel - can we go and buy some pumpkin pie?

Our very first thanksgiving - one that we will never forget!
Also we are over half way through our module trainings. Attack is going to be wicked awesome (slang from New Hampshire) here, the people we have trained are fantastic role models for the program. And boy are there some fit people in the US! Atlanta & Florida are our next two trainings - over 50 people training in each! Watch out USA - attack is coming!

Yay Sarah you said "wicked awesome"!!! We miss you guys a lot up here in New Hampshire. We're already trying to find ways to come to NZ to see you guys again. Remember you're supposed to put whipped cream on that pumpkin pie. Enjoy your pudding! Or as we say dessert!

Don't forget you are going to Tampa- not just Florida.

Here we have a "cheer" used mainly at the Buc (American football) games. If you start it - you will have (at least one) person cheer along.

Stage left "Tampa", R OH, L HOH

Stage right "Bay", L OH, R HOH

(repeat as required)

60 people should give an impressive cheer

Kia ora, Sarah! Glad to hear that your Thanksgiving in the Big Apple was a smashing success! Pumpkin pie is definitely one of our favorites this time of year - even better than that apple pie that you and I shared at dinner (but that Glen somehow mysteriously made disappear!) :-)

To the rest of the Les Mills family - Glen and Sarah are definitely creating an awesome ATTACK buzz over here on the East Coast - we are pumped and ready to blow the roof off the joint come launch-time. "Put your hands up in the AIR!!!"

Atlanta / Florida - are you ready for BODYATTACK? Start doing your interval training NOW!!! Nothing compares to a 2-day all-out body blast like ATTACK training! Did someone say "Beep Test"?

Sarah,

Glad to hear your having a good time her in the USA! I'm originaly from New England and "wicked" seems to be the term. Don't use it anywhere else, no one will know what your talking about. Did you know that an estimated 90%, or 225 million Americans, eat turkey on Thanksgiving? That's a "whopping" or you say "smashing" 45 million turkeys!

See you in Florida!!:)

I hope you enjoyed the trip to the US and got home safe. On behalf of all BA trainees (Tampa) I would like to thank you for sharing your expert knowledge and passion with us. Going out dancing later that night was a little difficult as I realized that my body, once familiar music is played, wants to move in the BA way. Good thing I was too exhausted to care what others think :) What other countries did you present the LM programs?
