Les Mills Kia Kaha

A Day At The Beach

Finishing a new round of classes is a big relief for the Les Mills program directors – and a great excuse for a quarterly get-together and wind-down. So on completion of the 2/2006 Release off we went for a day of swimming, picnicking, walking and frisbee-ing at spectacular Piha beach near Auckland. This is one of the most beautiful spots in reach of the city and where Phillip’s dad, Les, has a lovely beach house - our base camp for the day.

Aside from yours truly and Phillip, the picnickers were BODYJAM ‘G’ with partner Ginny (and schnoodle Bentley); RPM (and BODYPUMP) Glen and Sarah; BODYSTEP Mark with daughter Kaylah-Blayr; BODYATTACK Lisa with Pita and son Jackson and BODYCOMBAT Dan and Rach – a full team except for RPM Dan who was off winning a bike race at Coromandel (see his posts below).

A great day out in a fabulous setting and a fitting celebration for another Les Mills release!!!!

In the photo above there's (left to right) Glen, Sarah, Rachael, Jackie, Jackson, Pita, Lisa, Phillip, Ginny, Mark, Bentley, Gandalf. More pics here.

Ah that was a fab day - Jackie and I were just talking about how important it is to have some good R&R (rest & recovery). Funny though, how us fitness folk still choose our rest time to be used climbing mountains!!! ha haa (well its not really a mountain, but in this heat it was more than a hill let me tell ya).
Bentley had the bestest time EVER!! G had him running in and around on the beach and in the sea. Ginny told me he slept nearly the whole next day!! Ahhhhhh its a dog's life!!

Well I'm off to teach now so this is short..

Speak soon

Hello people! Very nice to see that. But I was very surprised for seeing that, because you, excellent and dedicated professionals being there at a beach, very good to see that, after all we are (and you are) son of God.  I would like to leave my enormous affections to Rach, because I am a lot of fan of her! Rach, I love your plays in Body Combat videos, ok! Please, leave me a message, because I will be very happy!
Thank you

Hi Hannah

Very cool to hear the news from the northern hemisphere - that track 7 is an awesome way to let rip. I have had every single member in our class jumping crazy!

There is something special about allowing yourself the time in this day in age, to unleash all the energy you have built up, without starting an arguement over something silly. Just go to a BODYCOMBAT class and let rip!!

Glad you managed to get your hands on the BC27 Top - I have had many an email asking where to get the clothes from the DVD's. I do recall a photo of some random trousers...haa haa

Off to class now..

Ciao

Hey Hannah, they were part of a set from NIKE Asia Pacific. If you look for a boob tube, that is kind of cheqeured, it could be pink, or blue or black. It has two gloves wrapped up inside it.

Hope this helps you find it..
