Les Mills Kia Kaha

Happy New Year rpm'ers!

I hope that the new year finds you well rested and energized and ready to tackle O7' as it is going to be a big year for RPM and Les Mills.

We’re preparing now for filming RPM 35 in Auckland on February 8th and this will be a hugely important and exciting filming as we are teaming up with POLAR from Finland to monitor and graph every participant in the ride. POLAR are the world’s leaders in heart rate monitoring and the results from this test will solidify all that we have been promoting and preaching about RPM and the results that it can bring to our participants if ridden correctly. Stay tuned for further info!

As well, I am really looking forward to March. I will be spending the first 3 weeks in West Coast USA doing 1/4erlies, promotional classes and instructor recruitment - so if you know of anyone in the areas of Portland/Washington, California, Arizona/Utah that would be interested in joining the RPM team tell them keep an eye out for a club visit in their area during that time. I am really looking to recruit some males to teach the program :-)

At the end of March I will be heading to Brazil for my first time for club visits and the South American Summit. I am really excited about this trip and working with all the RPM instructors and fans in Brazil. So to all of you in Brazil, see you soon!

Until next time....Live and Ride Strong
Dan

I have not noticed any Quarterlies on the USA West Coast's Calendar for the beginning of this year/ March. Am I missing something? I would LOVE to go and to participate in a promotional class for RPM. If there is to be a quarterly here soon, when will the information be posted?

Thanks, cannot wait to TURN IT UP!

WOW wish you could swing by the SE(Atlanta) quarterly. Would love to see you live.  While you are here, you could take on an epic MTB event.  A 34 mile TT over some killer single track.  Hope this wets your appitite to divert to the South.
How cool that you will be working with HR monitors.  I  really think that will hit home with paraticipants.  Thanks for your outstanding educational materials.  As far as I know, no other program offers the information based in cycling science that you do.  After 20 years as a cyclist, I still learn from each release.

I started using my Polar heartrate monitor a few weeks ago when I teach RPM to track my training.  I've had participants doubt the amount of calories burned in a class.  Now after every ride I tell them what I burn.  Since starting this,  I've had numerous people purchase Polar heartrate monitors to wear in class.  It has also become a motivating factor as I now notice more people really trying to follow me because  of the amount of calories I burn.  I can't wait for the next release to see the data from all participants wearing the monitors.  This is a great motivational tool for all participants and instructors.

Dan,

I will be out in California and Washington the last week two weeks in March.  Hope to bump into you and get to shake your hand.  Excellent work on all you have done to enhance the riding experience for us instructors and everyone we coach.
