    BodyVive 12

Okay guys!!!  People have been hinting at it in other posts, so why not just start a new topic and start spilling the beans (as us American's say!!:)  Tell us what you know, when you know it!!!!!!  Cool

Here's what I remember from my intensive with Susan Trainor.  Strength 2 is going to try to work the hamstrings again.  Simular to the EnVouge of release 8.  This time we only have to tie ourselves up once though.  I think it's another Destiny's Child song, but I'm not 100% sure on that!!!!  We also become "rock stars" in the final cardio with the out, out, in, in move.....

    Re: BodyVive 12

Hehe... Catherine, I was at the filming in Auckland in May, so there's heaps I could tell you about the release!

There is a love theme running through quite a few songs in BV12.

Rise'n'Shine is a 90s club track from Black Box.

Connect'n'Go gets us riding on the Freeway Of Love

Dance Cardio gets us doing the Cha-Cha-Cha

Fitness Cardio is about really getting ourselves...

Tai Chi & Yoga gets us flying like eagles...

Balance & Leg Strength teaches us that love is indeed a stranger...

Strength 2 will have us all losing our breath...

Abs will make us feel like we are in a Circus...

Release'n'Restore helps to answer for all who want to know what love is Smile

    Re: BodyVive 12

Got Vive 12 in my hot little hands. It's flippin' AWESOME! Simple, honest and hits the spot. Great music too. Maybe track 2 feels a little downbeat compared to others, but then again it may be different in front of a class when the adrenaline is going.

Just can't fault this one. Love it all!

BTW I think Balance (Flow) instructors will like track 6

    Re: BodyVive 12

So good to hear Maddi. I can't wait to see it on Sunday. I hope my members like this release, my numbers have been dropping and I can't figure out why. Hopefully things will pick up now the weather is warming up. I totally love BodyVive but somehow it seems to be falling short with the members.

I SO want to see this program succeed.

    Re: BodyVive 12

I think bodyvive is getting better and better, this is the best yet, loads of options for all abilities, im finding that numbers are increasing and I think it,s because it is such an uplifting feel good program that keeps uping the ante with each new release. cant wait to do this one

    Re: BodyVive 12

Numbers are increasing at our gym too. Last week I had 34 in a class that should only have a max of 25! It's taken a while to get to this point, so just hang in there Sam. I'm sure this release will please everyone and hopefully help to bring 'em in.

    Vive on!

    Re: BodyVive 12

I'm still waiting for my release.  It should be here any day now!!!!  And it doesnt help that the sizzler for 12 isn't working!!!!

My numbers are way down here too, but in America it is summer and numbers always go down then.  I'm sure they will pop back up in Sept or Oct.  It's to bad because I really love BV11 and I hate that people are missing out!!!!!!

Well Maddy, what else can you share with us????  Any crazy timing issues to look forward to???  Stick out tongue

    Re: BodyVive 12

Catherine-You'll be pleased to hear I've had absolutely no hair-tearing issues with this release!!  I've actually learnt it REALLY quickly (and it usually takes me AGES-I'm always begging our GFM for another week before launches!)Initially I couldn't see some of the patterns in track 3 and 6. My solution is just to do them over and over and over so that the words and music then become the cues and the body just reacts, rather than the brain trying to find the symmetry.

I don't want to give too much away and spoil the surprise but I really do love every track and every song. Fabulous stretches in track 12, love the hip track-we are standing again for this one. Track three is cha-cha (loosely based!) which is an absolute blast. In the back track we are on our sides which I was thrilled about 'cause I've got at least three pregnant ladies in my classes of late . Couldn't be happier! Love to hear your thoughts on it!

    Re: BodyVive 12

Okay, things have been way to quiet around here!!!!!

I finally have 12 and like most of what I see.  I haven't actually been able to do the class though.  Here's my gripe:

I have a small fitness room.  There is NO way I can possibly do interactive cardio the way it is written.  It is a rectangle shape and the people on the long side wont get through one round of step step claps before they hit the wall!  So what do I do with this???  I thought about doing it in a line going accross the long way of the room but then I will have to teach with my back to the participants and when we get to the other side I'll be behind them.  In release 10 Susan wrote out ideas for small rooms but this release is back to thinking we all teach in a huge room in New Zealand!!

Any ideas will be appriciated!!!!  And Susan, you KNOW I love you and will make sure my blah says how fabulous you looked!!!:) Cool

    Re: BodyVive 12

Yep-you're on the mark here Catherine. I've taught this class twice now at different gyms and both rooms were definitely not conducive to track 4! The first time we seemed to bunch up in a sausage rather than a circle and nearly danced on each other's toes. Second time we (me and another instructor at a second launch) decided to have two lines facing each other about four steps apart. This worked really well because we both had a line each following ,but when it's just you you're going to have to cue the other line  to stay facing "THE WALLS!!!!!!" (as Mark Nu'u so eloquently puts it) when they reach the other side after crossing through. You also have to decide whether everyone will ham-curl the same way or will they all go to their right. Hmmm.....dilemma.

Mark made me chuckle several  times actually. There's a girl in pink next to him in track 4 who's just not getting his cues, god bless her, and in fact nearly runs in to him. I laugh every time when he turns to her and says "you're going to GET IT in a MINUTE!!" There's nothing like a real numpty making you look bad  for all the world to see! (Though Mark could never look bad.Cheeky-yes, but never bad)  And don't you love his "it's like nailing a hammer into the wall" in the triceps!!

The feedback from everyone was so positive. REALLY loved this one they all said. I've only had one person who persevered with two handles (purple tube) in the one hand in the bicep curls. Everyone took option two REAL quick. Susan-how did you manage two handles with the BLACK tube??? Graceful, elegant, flexible AND super strong. Not fair!!!

Anyhoo, good luck everybody. Looking  fwd to hearing all the goss...

    Re: BodyVive 12

Thanks Maddy!!!  I appriciate your feedback.  I am the only vive instructor here so I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of!!!

Here's what I was thinking: Perhaps I put people at the two long ends of the room.  Then I teach from the middle like we did in release 9 (who loves you?).  Then I have them step step step clap crossing eachother to the other side of the room.  Then they can cross back in the second round.  What do you think???  Any suggestions or feed back on this is HIGHLY appriciated!!!!!!

    Hi Vive!

    Re: BodyVive 12

Catherine-good news! I glanced at your post about 30 secs before running out the door to teach Vive this morning. I got to track 4 and at the last sec decided to try on your idea. Success! The members all agreed it works MUCH better this way.Instructors with enormous studios won't have a problem with the original but it's a great option for more cosy quarters.

I'd been stressing over this one. Now it's super smooth and most importantly it's do-able for the peeps. Many, many thanks Catherine!

BTW... they all love BV12. The feedback is rather encouraging and I'm having heaps of fun teaching this one.

PS. Has everyone else gone into hibernation or are you all just huddled, goggled-eyed with furrowed brow in front of the DVD player??? (!)

I still have another week 'till we launch Maddy, but will keep you posted. I am loving the feedback going on here though and have been watching with interest. More than likely will steal your idea too Catherine!

    Re: BodyVive 12

We re-launched yesterday. I like BV 12 so far.  I like the simplicity of the choreography. I really didn't like the fussiness of some of BV11. I am pretty excited about some of the music, lots of great songs to sing along to.

I don't know how the members reacted to the new release, not many of them stayed to chat, launches are always a rushed day as we have back to back classes. Our numbers did drop quite a bit with BV11, but I'm not sure what it was, we noticed a drop in most classes across most of the programs.

I teach BV12 on Tuesday, so I will let you know how it goes :) I trained on BV4, but I still get so nervous before teaching the new release. Must stop procrastinating and get back to prefecting track 3. Stick out tongue
