    Body Step 77

Have just done the latest release and er what can I say it was flat and has no energy to lift you through the tracks.

Needs to be faster like the last release, this one is to slow and the choreograpthy needs more imagination I think everyone was a sleep when they put this one together.

Here is to the next one may it be better.

    put your feedback on BLAH

    but, a couple of thoughts

1 - has so much to do w/ your attitude.  our team has been super excited & hyping up the newest release - so members are super excited as well.  If you're not excited, your members won't be either.

2 - music & chorey on this one has huge highs/lows - so re-address how you presented it if you feel it was flat and had no energy in the tracks

3 - see what your members think.  Members & clubs I've talked to absolutely love this release, love the changes in the chorey & fun the music brings, and feel it's a tough, fun workout.

Good luck enjoying this one in future teaching!

TBH, I think this releases is the best so far since the 50's series of Bodystep. So much so that it has bought me back to Bodystep after not doing it for since Bodystep 64.

    MVP!

Coming soon a new concept no one has ever done before and it has been in the planning for the past 4 years.

Hiya, I don't teach it i take part in the classes.

The classes are very full and about 85% of the members think this release is not a very good one cpmpared to the last one.

It doesn't matter who the person is insructing the class, if the music and moves aren't good then the class won't be good.

    Have fun

I just gotta say I so disagree, a good instructor can make good of any release. IMO no 77 is probably the the best BS so far, with so many brand new moves. But of course, they can't please us all. Hope your instructor is doing his/her best to make the release fun (as they should).

     Kepp on steppin'!

    Re: Body Step 77

We launch this release next Tuesday Oct 17 so far I love it minus the burpee but they have the option.  I think the Party Step is my all time favorite.   Still have to learn 9 to finish.  I'm still recovering from a injury from the last release (finally broke down and went to the dr) the moon walk 2 did my arch in.  So now in special shoes and having to do all low options till I heal completely.  I have been doing BodyStep since 2002 and this one goes right up there with the 50 series and early 60 loving it so far.  The music is awesome.  Great job Mark

    Re: Body Step 77

Have to admit, this release has been the best one in a long long time!!  I stopped teaching BODYSTEP just over a year ago because I got to the stage that I could no longer handle the moves and the song selection (hearing the words... "It's BODYSTEP Time!?" in waaaay too many songs just made it sound corny!?)  However, in saying that, this release has bought me back onto the Step and have gotta admit I have really enjoyed teaching this one!

Just my opinion is all Smile

    Re: Body Step 77

I was bummed that I wasn't able to do my Step module training on this release, as it is an awesome release! But I am reassured that Step 78 (which I am doing my training on) is just as good, if not better...

    Re: Body Step 77

I think the problem is with all the new moves we spend more time queing and members are trying to make their bodies due the new moves that we are loosing the energy.  Hopefully as members get used to the new moves the energy will come back.  Watch out for Track 11.  It tore my back up and I teach Flow/Balance 4x a week.   2 Members that normally stay for Flow after Step had to go home after release 77, they felt too beat up to stay for the double class.

We started doing 77 today, and yes, I (participant) felt it was a bit "slow" and not even track 10 was that energetic. But it's probably, as you say, because we keep losing the energy in the room due to the fact that we participants don't know the release yet and have to focus more on the moves than on the workout per se.

    Re: Body Step 77

My classes like this release especially track 10- I went through a painful break-up with my partner in June so I turn the music up for the second half and they sing along with me in the chorus....

    Re: Body Step 77

Took a class or 2 of 77 to get into it, but now i really think this is a great release. the moonwalks in 76 caused me some achilles problems, but as with an earlier poster, i have new shoes and have been going easy to give myself time to heal. The whole class seems to zip by. Track 10 really seems to push everyone to the max, especially those working hard to get the squats right.

I teach BS and BF also and I have a lot of back problems, so I wondered if anyone had any more thoughts about track 11?? I haven't had any problems with it so far, but I've only practice it twice (we launch next week). I did have some concerns about the half burpee knowing my back, but it shouldn't be too hard to show it to the members a couple times and then stick with the double back tap option myself.

    Re: Body Step 77

I like it, but some of the combos in some of the tracks which I'm not used to do can screw me up sometimes especially track 10.

Only did it twice, maybe it will get better :)

I still have 2 weeks until the launch of 77, and I am very excited to finally try it!
