Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Well the more i think about it the more it es me off..

Its gonna cost me stupid amounts to go £25.99 for each set of dvd/cds thats £50 on its own then £20.56 and 14.95 for 1/4 ilies on top of that insurance, ppl ,fitpro membership and travel..
Its the dvd thats getting to me the most its gone from free to £11 how can they do that, so now i get my cd on ppl but still have to pay £22 for my dvds?Huh? im so angry but a) i cant learn w/out the dvd and its the best bit and b) i so enjoy 1/4 its soo not fair..

Also to be honest im peeed off also that we are getting a second rate super ,swedens is much better with more peeps going and you pay a flat rate and get to do the whole day with awesome instructors..

Here they have advertised you can do any programme even if ur not certified but gues what you have to pay £20 each Angry i said to the lady good luck with that youve got people ed already cant see them paying for that...

I think we need to make a stand in some way defo , as its daylight robbery i wouldnt mind if it was a couple of quid but they have put the prices up on everything all at the same time..

No offence to Dan im pleasehe is still coming but why do we always get the most expensive but not as good as everyone else????

Im with Gazzer iwas gonna do Balance but not anymore cant afford too

I pay for Quarterlies and CD's and DVD's, but I only team teach with my wife and we have a blast, We sometimes get a cover where Rosy will do one place and I will do another.

If these costs are going up then I think the quarterlies will be dropped and we'll share a DVD/CD between us, just means that we won't be able to cover and classes will get cancelled, or replaced with freestyle.

We don't do this to make money, but I'd rather not have to pay to do it.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

well im still waiting for my dvd's from last quarter and also kia ora mag for the past three editions which has never turned up.

Some great points made guys...the thing is i would not mind paying more if it was justified an we received so much more than we are already getting, which ermm...is not a lot!!

So what do we get for  the 36% increase? Have we been promised more time on educationals at quarts? Have we been promised better service from fitpro? Better quality CD's and packs? A promise that sound systems will work when you go on a quart? Can someone from fitpro explain the reason behind the increase. Maybe more money will be put into continued training for instructors as opposed to 'smash and grab' feeling you sometimes get after a quart and also module training?

Maybe  the increase is to help to make sure assessors actually watch your assessment video and care enough to write some feedback that is relevant to the applicant!! My mate just got her attack back and she was worried as she cant do a press-ups, in fact she collapsed after doing one, yet the assessor said 'great form in your press-ups'?

I know for a fact this will just mean more and more people not attending the quarts and also just copying cd's and notes off friends, is this a wise move fitpro?

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Unless my pay is going up in the same proportion to the cost increases Fitpro have seen fit to implement I'm afraid quarterly attendance is going righ out the window. Their track record in respect of service & materials has been less than adequate in the past few years. In fact I'm still waiting for my renewed liability certificate having asked for it 3 times No

Quick off the mark to ask for the money, rubbish at delivering promises.

So an increase in cosst by 36% is actually beyond a joke and needs to be addressed by LMI IMO, you use them as your agents, now do all of us instructors a favour and listen to what we're telling you.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Fitpro have got instructors over barrel on this they could theoretically charge whatever they like and most will just have to pay it of stop teaching BTS programmes. Maybe instructors are now a victim of the success of BTS?

+ many venues only teach BTS classes

+ BTS instructors need music and dvd to learn/teach new release

+ music licence agreements and regional distributor rights prevent instructors sourcing music/dvd elsewhere

+ certification is required to teach

+ not attending quarterlys you put your certifcation at risk

+ to maintain REPS points (also required to teach at some places) need to attend quarterly training

    + fitpro membership + insurance + m2p licence costs

    = lots of $$$

IMO this is just going to discourage parttime instructors who do this as a hobby (like me) as only fulltime instructors will be able to justify the costs involving in teaching many BTS programmes...or anyone lucky enough to get their BTS costs covered by club. if you are teaching one or two classes or just cover you arent going to break even...

I think FitPro should spend more time trying to get the pay of instructors increased by 30% - they would get more respect from me.

be careful LMI/FitPro...keep the instructors happy else maybe you help make a market for licence free programmes such as Radical Fitness/N&G's Fight Do

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Good point on the part time instructors. I am one myself (although I do teach 14 classes a week now, 10 of them being LM classes). I wonder how many part time instructors who teach 2 or 3 classes a week will seriously think twice now! By the time you have paid for quarterlies, DVD's, CD's, Insurance, M2p licences, branded clothing I wonder how much money you would actually make!!Huh?

By the way Fit Pro. I am still waiting for the results of my RPM instructor DVD I sent in over 3 months ago!!! Indifferent

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Considering out b*ll*cks they have made of the last two releases, they have a bl**dy cheek putting their prices up by 30 odd percent.

BC31 came out with the last page of the coreo notes missing and a DVD with the sound out of sync. Then the current Bodycombat 32 CD won't play on one of the sound-systems I use. Yet ironically a copy taken of the same CD does work?

Incidentally I don't remember any previous Kiora magazine mentioning the word "complementary" when referring to workshop DVD's. It was always put that they were part of your workshop and you had the option of buying them separately, not the other way round. Personally I can see a group of instructors getting together, buying one DVD per programme and sharing it round.  Cool

Finally, if you don't have access to a computer, you get charged an extra £3 per programme to talk to some plonker who will probably mess up your order anyway.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Oh, and while I'm ranting, the DVD's didn't show up at the last workshop and had to be sent out separately, and the booking form for the september 2007 quarterly has our workshop listed as in Esporta, Belfast while the Kiora magazine has it listed as in BGM, Newry.

P.S. Hey! Where did my other post go!!! This is supposed to follow on from it. Oh well, maybe it will show up later.

i suggest you call them ASAP and verify the assessor actually has got it. My combat re-sub video went missing somewhere between FitPro and the assessor apparantly...now i've got to video a new one :(

I have been phoning them. They just say things like "it hasn't come back yet" to "The person who deals with certification isn't here today". Only 1 person who deals with certification in the building!!!  Huh?

thats what i got every time i called fitpro - i ended up emailing the assessor directly about my re-sub (luckily had email address on the assessment feedback form)

suggest you email Leanda Britton on leanda.b@fitpro.com

she's the certification person at fitpro

Since my original post still hasn't shown up, here is the guist of it.

Considering the b*ll*x Fitpro have made of the last few releases, they have a bl**dy cheek putting up their prices by 36%.

BC31 came with the coreo notes missing the last half of the cooldown and the DVD came with the sound out of sync. The BC32 CD won't play on some sound systems (this is not a one off, other instructors have reported the same problem in different locations). Ironically, a copy taken of the same CD will play - which was lucky or that release day would have been a disaster.

Oh, and since when was the DVD "complementary". All previous kiora magazines refers to it as part of the workshop with the option to purchase it separately if you couldn't attend. I can see groups on instructors getting together and sharing one copy of the DVD among themselves.

    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Oh, my original post has arrived (24/7), please feel free to ignore the above (or not).
