I'm seeking your recommendations for any clothing that will keep me somewhat dryer during classes. At the moment I'm wearing Nike Dri Fit "dry fit technology" tanks/shorts/leggings which is meant to wick away the sweat, however, I'm still just as drenched at the end of the class if I was wearing normal tank tops/shorts/leggings.

Nike Dri Fit will LOOK better and not HANG on you when you sweat, but plain old cotton-polyester blend will keep you cooler and thereby reduce you sweating a little.  I could bore you with why wet cotton is cooler, but only if you ask.

Dri Fit will wick away sweat only if it has a place to wick it away to.  For winter outdoor running, for instance, you would wear something absorbant OVER your polypro to absorb the sweat and thereby keep you drier and warmer.

Dri Fit alone will noticeably drip more if you don't wear some cotton over it. (where else can the sweat go?).

If there ain't a puddle under your bike, or splotches of sweat around you in BS,BA,BC,BJ, you're doing something wrong.

Huge rationalization!  Wraps are not only already wet from sweat running down your arms, but also are pretty darn abrasive.

I can wipe snot off from below my nose with either my bag gloves or wraps, but that's about the extent of it.  Not a way to wipe your forehead worth a dang.

I usually sweat on the "inside" layers of my wraps (I have small hands, so one wrap can go a long way). I have a technique for my forehead where I press the wrapped hand to my forehead for a few seconds - works not bad!  Then the wraps also stop me from slipping (again because of the sweat) and falling in my face during the pushups. Wraps are a lot more useful than one would think...

Our class has decided that we are definately sweating more in BC40. We pointed out to the instructor the pools of sweat on the floor and told her that she couldn't accuse us of not working hard!

I like the Nike dri fit or whatever it's called, but tend to opt for the LM clothing shirts, which are not quite as good at soaking up the sweat!  In reality nothing is going to soak it ''all'' up.

We did our launch of BC40 on an outside balcony in 30 degree C weather -- the instructors were actually wringing out there shirts at the end as if they had been through the wash!

That so does NOT apply to me!  I have to wear something on my head and use a towel.  When I did my combat video, the sweat was running off the edge of my nose.  LOL

Since i keep my guard by my face the sweat doesn't run down to my hands. My wraps don't seem very abrasive and it's not like i'm rubbing my face very hard with them.

I don't suppose you ever move your hands from the guard position, do you?  Maybe you wrap so loose you look like a refugee from the hospital burn unit.

Try Lululemon sports wear. They are the best and when you sweat it barely shows on your clothes!

Forget the shirts -- I'm thinking of starting to wear a head band or bandana or something -- almost did the splits in the esquiva tonight, when I slipped on my own sweat!!!!

No glow here either...more like "just got out of the pool........with my clothes on." Might have to start wearing something on the head to keep the sweat out of my eyes. Stinger!!!

    Re: Sweat

I used to have a huge problem with sweat running down my face, and I sometimes had to stop mid track to get my towel to wipe it off, but now I wear a tight bandanna around my forehead.... stops the sweat running down my face...

    best investment I ever made!!
