Thanks for your comments so far, like I said I knew what to do just wanted some support to show to my boss. Keep the comments coming please keep away from the quarterlies topioc as it's going off on to a whole new ball game, (unless you ultimately believe this is what helps to mold instructors) seems to have gone into a little moan about them and not my original points.

    Thanks

When I first started teaching high impact aerobics in the mid 80's everything was highly corriographed and dancey so members expected classes to be the same between instructors.  Two years later free style was introduced and members started expecting something unique with almost every other class.  While most of the BP instructors at my gym stick to the program a few deviate.  The woman who coordinates BP at my gym did something totally unexpected today during the floor work that I'd not seen done before.   I assume she was aware of the change but didn't get a chance to speak with her about it.

    I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!!

How about this- no weight selection coaching,no form coaching, hands slung over the bar during squats, and each 2/2, 3/1, etc... is choppy, not smooth? Or how about instructors who DON"T KNOW THEIR CHOREOGRAPHY!!!!!!!!! I know we are supposed to follow our fellow instructors cues, but sometimes I CAN"T TAKE IT!!!! I want a good work out too! And a safe one. And I want to know that gym members are being taught in a safe and correct fashion. My director lives in another town, and has never taught a group fitness class, so it is hard to get my point across if you know what I mean. Maybe the other instructors freestyle things to mix it up, but are they using a variety of music or are they teaching the same tracks over and over. Yes that would be boring.

Just do what you know to do and defintiely talk to your GFM and see if they can help the situation. I know it is frustrating! Just keep giving it your best!
