    Learning old releases

You guys seem to have a great wealth of knowledge and maybe you can answer my question. Can instructors go back and learn older releases if they have missed them? We started at 37 and never got 38. Also releases before 37 never happened in our area but I know that Jam was around in other places before us. Can you request to learn them or is it just tough luck, you missed it and it's gone? It would be nice and refreshing to have something that was new( to us, anyways). and I know that my instructor (the only one that seems to care about teaching Jam) would love to do new/old stuff. Just wondering if I should give up the dream. I do enjoy reading your messages. I am not an instructor but it made me so happy to see/read that there are instructors out there who think/feel the same way I do as to how Jam could be taught. You guys are great. It's a bit depressing that you are not in my area but I do have my one instructor and he is fantastic.

    Re: Learning old releases

Welcome to the LM community, canuckinjapan!

Well, if your instructor can purchase some of the older releases, either from this website or at a quarterly instructor gathering, then YES, he could learn and teach some of the older realeases.  (However, sometimes older releases are hard to find and purchase.)

For example, before we launched Body Jam 44, I was mixing a little of 37 and 39 into my classes to keep things interesting/fresh before the new launch.

Sometimes, when Les Mills "twees" or makes changes to the format of a program (as is what happened to Body Jam around release 32 or so) they will ask that instructors only go back so far when mixing.

So, to answer your question-  IF your instructor can find and purchase some older releases, than yes, you can go back and learn them.

    Good luck!

Thank you and Thank you! It's so much easier to ask these questions in English. I shall pass that on. Thanks for the help.
