    Knees in squats

I've just put my squat weight up 1k each side but I feel like my legs are actually getting less of a workout, I've noticed as I'm just reaching the bottom and then just starting up again my knees are wobbling and trying to come in like bandy legs instead of pointing out in line with my toes. Is there something I am maybe doing with my body maybe overleaning or soemthing that could be causing this or I do I just need to be aware of the extra weight and keep correcting those knees? I do want to keep the extra weight on because I was starting to find it too easy without it.

Try focusing on your breathing more.  It could be that you're just thinking too much about the new weight and keeping your form correct and simply forgetting to get enough air.  That'll cause wobbly knees every time!

It is hard to say without seeing you in action, but I would make sure you are planting the heels and stay light in the toes.  Sit the but back and squeeze your but at the bottom as you drive your heels into the floor to help push you up.  This will take the load off of the knees an should keep them in line.

When I add weight to my bar, I find that I need to give extra attention to core set position.  And, yes, really drive through the heels and butt.  Exhale on the way up.

Justin Sanchez told us that while he and Kendall were in Japan they encountered this problem with tons of people. He said to fix the problem, they really coached activating the glutes (big time) at the bottom of the squat to pull the knees into proper alignment. This keeps them from coming into the "knock Kneed" position.

See if that helps (along with digging those heels in for power as you rise)!

he recommended i put a little less weight and work on my technique before adding weight
