Did this release today and the Zombie's WON!  I thought this was going to be less intense than some of the C2's we've seen recently but I must have been in left field!  HUGE HUGE release and if you focus on technique in every track it will be a BUTT kicking release!!!

Thanks team Cohen for another amazing release!

    Re: BC36 - what a sensational release!!!

    Yeah..I finally did BC36!!!

Although musically it's not one of my favorite releases it definitly makes up for it in the choreography and the work out!! The only songs I would crank up the volume to in my car would be track 2 and 4 (but the originals!!!) , track 5 (Rogue Traders!!!..still nothing like voodoo child though), track 3 (not the type of music I usually listen to but this one seems to not want to get out of my head Hmm ..such a nice lovelly song yet it makes me want to start throwing uppercuts Big Smile.

Eventhough I have only done it once, I felt the biggest impact was on the legs, although track 8 does blast your shoulders if you have any energy left after track 7...in my case it wasn't much, I swear I almost needed an oxygen mask. Dan and Rachel must have each added another whole chicken  for dinner in their training regime for this one Stick out tongue

The only track that really didn't impress me yet is track 6. I'll have to see if eventually it grows on me.

Overall, once again a fantastic job by Dan and Rachel !!

    Cool

Now the choreography is the same everywhere, the music's the same everywhere so why such a big difference in opinions?

Answer: It must be partly down to the instructor/s as they are the only variable in the pre-choreographed format! Wink

If people like the class they might come up and tell you, if they hate it they probably wont say, just not do the class again till this release is over..

But can also be quite the opposite.  Alot of my BC regulars are hardcore (G&N old release fans - urghConfused!) and any track they don't like they LET ME KNOW, rather rudely in front of the whole class e.g. "Oh I HATE THIS ONE".  I just have to turn a blind eye to it and remember it's only 6 or 7 people and that the other 30 or 40 are loving it.  If I'm not used to that by now then there is something wrong with me!Stick out tongue

I haven't even ordered BC36 yet as I have become a little jaded with the releases of late (but please note I have ordered them all!  And launched BC30, 33 and 34, before any of you START), so I am saving my money and time for other programmes as our club has given up on BC launches and concentrating on the other LM programmes.  A shame as my 3 BC classes are still the top 3 ranked classes on our timetable, thanks to my passion for and loyalty to the programme and my ability to mix in tracks and keep nearly everyone happy.  But I'm sick of launching to sighs and moans for a while.  I'll take the Pump "Woo's and screams" anytime (oh and just  how AWESOME is BP66 BTW!!Yes).  The other Combat instructor has given up Combat completely (when she first taught T6 from BC35, I have never seen such disappointed faces - I hid mine of course - awful track/choreoIck!), but I am hanging in there.... for now.

Curious about the Plyo lunges though - can't wait to try em if I'm honest.  All in good time I guess.  I will buy it eventually.  T1,2,4 and 5 on BC35 were all fantastic.   T5, as I've said before has been my most requested track EVER!  They won't let me teach ANY other T5 still!!!  Love it!  Definitely a positive!YesCool

    Great to here everyones feedback.

Horoe, I'm sure you will love launching to your participants on the 5th. I know my participants love this release.

N&G's combat was so full on and fast and I love some of those old tracks. Now I feel the releases with R&D are more technical and keep people safe, but also deliver variety and a great work out for toning and shaping.

    Enjoy learning your chorey !!

N & G are Natha and Gabby. They were the first programme directors for Body Combat from release 1 to 20. Yes

Yes I had a few of these so called "hardcore" combaters. Yes they are passionate about combat, but when they get to this stance they can be a pain to the class! I had one woman once who basically "vetted" any instructor that covered the class. She was ex-karate and thought she new everything. If she didn't like the the release or even heard a new release was a bit naff by someone, she would bombard people after the class to not bother to go to the launches!! When I took over this class, I just made it so hard for her and turned the class around. It did help that she ended up being suspended from the club for another matter!!.

As I said, it's still down to the instructor. Pushing Combat forward and delivering the new releases is my job as an LM instructor. If I loose a few people along the way, then so be it.  Wink

By the way, that participant joined another club I teach at, but she comes to Combat every week now and we get on fine! No more complaining about releases either!

    Re: BC36 - what a sensational release!!!

Gabby and Natha's Combat was full on and fast from about release 16. Before that, although there were some furious tracks like "Baby I'm on Fire" from 8, some of the early stuff is very very slow compared to the modern stuff.

Just a quick question..you instructors may have this in your notes or something.

How many knees are there in track 7?

I tried to count them in class but then I sort of lost count... I had to concentrate on not passing out Stick out tongue

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Haven't got my notes with me - but from memory and counting - I think it is 208 altogether.

    Re: BC36 - what a sensational release!!!

    What a Virgo!  Yup 208

     ----------

16 during the bridge after the first combo

    16 during the total combo

8 during the Muay Thai  vs Caporiera after the push kicks

    64  during the Whoo Hoos!

And then repeat on the Right!

Oh and just noticed on the coaching tips for the first 16 knees: Start low and relaxed, because soon you'll wish we hand no more Knees ever again!  Devil

lol...I think that was my problem. I do need to learn how to pace myself. I love BC so I have a tendency to let the emotion take control, so in some tracks there isn't that much of a "level 1", but in tracks like this one it's important to work up the pace. Plus since I only had one BC36 class and this being the release, that extra adrenaline was all there, so I started to let it all out from the get go...man was I sorry half way through because I new I had to do it over again on the right side. Stick out tongue

    Thanks again! damn ...208 !!
