What are your favourite tracks on this releasen, btw?

Mine is track 4 : I know you want me, Pitbull

For me it's a tie between Pitbull and the last track "Finally".  It's something about the base in that song that drives me insane!

    Yes  for the track 8

I'm excited and somewhat nervous about the training next weekend (ok... VERY NERVOUS! Tongue Tied)  Definitely stepping out of my comfort zone with this one.  Certainly, looking forward to it, though.

Good.  Get all that nervousness out now.  Cuz you won't have time to be nervous over the weekend. Wink

I've only watched 50, but it looks like a lot of fun.  I'm sure you'll do fine.  And will feel sufficiently challenged.  Let us know how it goes.

    Bob

I completed and passed my initial training for BodyJam, and had trained on 50.  Much different experience than BodyFlow and RPM trainings, but well worth it.  The gym for which I work will launch 50 at the end of October, so I'm looking forward to it.  I really like the mix of cardio blocks.  Latin is pretty simple, but I thought it was fun.  I like the cardiofunk/shabam shabam, but my feet didn't like that too much (LOL!).  I had never been such a big fan of tribal, but this "Tribular House Extravaganza" is likeable.  Definitely work hard here (as I do in all blocks).

The only issue I have with this release is now I have 3 copies of "Spotlight" on my IPOD because it's groove down here, Take home recovery track on RPM 44 and BodyFlow 46 abs track (both are also current releases this quarter).

Well, I'm looking for to teaching this release.  :-)

I just watched the DVD but selected the audio option to music only (no  presenter voiceover). I don't know if anyone noticed this on BodyJam+ segment tracks 3 to 5 (mambo xtravaganza). The video and audio are not in sync.

Yeah, Kylie Gates sent an email to all the Jam instructors within Les Mills Asia Pacific regarding this. Essentially, when you play BJ50+ with Music Only (no presenter voice), the music is a few counts out. She recommended that instructors learn the BJ50+ chorey with the Music and Presenter Voices turned on on the DVD.

    Hope this helps out!

    Re: Body Jam 50

To be honest, I really really love the new release. I love teaching the mambo extravaganza and jumping off the stage and mambo everywhere with the participants it give me that connection and make them feel that i am still one of them not some scary crazy lady on the stage telling them what to do.

I also love the Cardio Funk Block, It has some highs and lows in it and i love going wild when the music tells you too. plus it is high energy and make the participants feel like they are working like in a normal class. Because i think (at our club at least) that there is this persona about body jam that you dont work as hard as say combat or rpm. So they tend to choose those kinda classes over BJ.

I hated the recovery, the foot work is really complicated, and i song is pretty dodgy. But I NEVER let that be expressed to the participants when im teaching, i teach with as much energy as the rest because some people have different tastes. And really being an instructor is all baout pleasing the participants and I think it is unprofessional if you do not like something and you let that show in your teaching because the particpants start to dislike it too because it may not be as fun. and body Jam should be fun!

The house block is okay, I do not hate it, but i like 49's house block batter. But I love building that climax with it, because there are bits of music that lets you do that with it. especially with the scoop.

I have had alot of feedback from the members saying they do not like the music that much, but mostly from the older ones, all the younger people love the music so it is kinda like music taste. Most of them come tho to have fun and just relax and as long as im out thee dong my thing properly then they will come back no matter what i play.

    Re: Body Jam 50

Well first and formost , thank you gandalf  and les mills for creating body jam , combat and pump , its friggn awesome . I did jazzercise for about 6 years i stopped bc of my knees hurtn , and then i became a member of golds gym which provides me with your awesome classes .

I started doing jam about almost a year ago with release 47 , and i loved it absolutley loved it and have been loving it ever since , as far as bastos69 goes , i think release 50 is awesome , if you love dancing , but if you  have an unappreciation of music , then you cant dance obviously . Dancing is an art , is a art of moving your body freely to the beat of music , you cant find that beat and that appreciation  than thats your losss. dont jam anymore

I absolutly love the cardio funk and tribal /house extravaganza , great music and great choreography...friggn fabulous . Im not totally in love with the latin track but it is what it is . i love the music , wish there was alil more to the choreography . ending it with jennifer hudsons spotlight is awesome

thank you guys !!  jammn in jerzey !! <3<3

    Re: Body Jam 50

I have to also agree with many of you that this release is very enjoyable and the music is fantastic.  BUT....and there always seems to be one...the Latin section(s) of this release and past one's really seem to be lacking.

The whole first 5 tracks just seem like one really big warmup and it just seems like there is so much more that could be done with Latin than just these re-hashed moves that we seem to see in the Latin choreo of Jam.  Or maybe it's just not fast enough?  I think of the Latin songs from 34 and 37...Cha Cha heels and Samba dream...those latin tracks really kicked one's butt I felt and we're so much fun to do.

Other than that though I say WTG G and crew for this release.  LOVE that bass in track 9.
