Transcendal, absolutely LOVE your analysis Smile

On the Last-worditis though, I have noticed that Rod doesn't always insist on that last word with me (sometimes, but sometimes not). I can only assume it's due to the long history, added to the fact I've banned him many, many times from my own forum............but, I can't for the life of me get him to write some German on another thread it seems.

Nor did he respond to the above posts by Robert or Speedie either. Yet his posts seem to tail mine with surprising regularity (despite him not necessarily being the subject of those posts), especially recently.

    Hmmm, I wonder why.

Recently published - my review of BodyPump 73 is available on my blog at:

The forum member "pipera" is not a Les Mills Instructor, though his posts, signature and profile will falsely claim otherwise.

Since he has been economical with the truth on his profile, read the real facts here.

Rick and Rod are a classic codependent pairing

"Codependency or Codependence describes a pattern of detrimental behavioral interactions within a dysfunctional relationship, most commonly a relationship with an alcohol or drug abuser.[1] In general, the codependent is understood to be a person who perpetuates the addiction or pathological condition of someone close to them in a way that hampers recovery."

I hardly think Rick or anyone else on this forum causes Rod to continue to behave this way. I've seen Rod tell Jackie MILLS that she was wrong on a topic (about participants with hip replacements participating in bodybalance) over 6 years ago. I can guarantee you Rick was not posting back then (neither was I, I was just reading back then).

That was before I knew what Rod was about, and I was quite embarrassed for him when he tried to correct Jackie.

ooops, I posted a post quoting the definition of "Codependency" and it ended up in the moderation queue. Maybe it'll appear someday?

In general, I mentioned that Rick hardly "hampers" Rod's recovery, as per the definition of codependency. Rod was still doing this over 6 years ago, and I clearly remember him backchatting Jackie Mills (when she posted on the forum) and told her she was wrong on her advice regarding a participant with a hip replacement in body balance.

I clearly remember him backchatting Jackie Mills (when she posted on the forum) and told her she was wrong on her advice regarding a participant with a hip replacement in body balance.

    I clearly remember that post.

    Background:

Someone posted a comment about them just coming back from hip replacement surgery and they were asking if they could do Bodybalance. I said something refering to text. Then Dr Jackie Mills came into the thread around page 4 of that thread and Jackie said something that they can do Bodybalance and she offered her advice on what they can do. (An excellent reply back) form a qualifed Dr. Jackie said something in the thread and I went off to investigate what Jackie said, I simply posted what I learned. I asked Dr Jackie Mills for clarification on the issue. She clarified. the point. I came back and said something and Jackie replied back. I then left it at that.

Furthermore, I repsect Dr Jackie Mills and what she said in that thread. There was no dis-respect given to Jackie Mills and it was implied then I appologies to her for this if that was the implication.

However, in saying this I have openly debated Dr's of Education about theories and it was banter rather than debate or argument. For without dibate how can I learn and understand it from different perspectives?

Anyway I have learned from that thread :) in recent times I will question all Dr's whom I go to.

Recently my sister has been diagnosed with cancer, she went to four (4) doctors and they did nothing. One said a flip satement to the effect "So you think you have cancer" what a comment from a Dr.

Well she has cancer none of them picked it up untill a few weeks back when we self admitted her to hospital after 6 weeks in complete pain. They ran a scan and picked up on the cyst (sic) and also the cancer spots and activity. After spending weeks in pain and nothing was done. Luckly we connected to the right Dr at the hospital and they discovered the real truth.

My faith any one Dr to offer advice and not question it is justified.

Today she is in theatre for surgery for an operation I hope all goes well.

Not everything a Dr says is 100% correct and to blindly accept that one is 100% well?

    IMO!

I will question any Dr and get clarification from now I do that regarding my Dr whom has been my Dr for the past 25 years. He is not and has never been offended that I ask questions and that I ask questions about the medication I am taking and any thing I asked to do.

Futhermore, my dad was in hospital and a medication was not on his chart, I knew that if he did not take the medication that he would die. They fought me on this point, it was perscribed from his Dr. Their Dr at the hospital and the nurses said you are not giving him the medicaiton. I said I will so I did because of that he lived for another 3-years. If I did not stand up for myself and my father then he would have died.

So, for someone to say that a Dr is 100% correct and  the two (2) nurses were correct they were wrong. I was right and my dad's Dr was right. he lived. and my dads Dr was not impressed with the hospital at all.

As I have said in this forum not everything is black and white, there are many colours on the canvas.

    IMO!

Is there any way to block certain forum posts? I feel like I'm reading a novel.

Re: Pipera vs the Gaggle of Gratuitous Do-Gooders

I must admit I'm in the same boat as Rob in London.... this is reality forums at it's best!

I do think though that we should leave Pipera alone - he is probably emotionally unstable at the moment and his 'my opinion is always right' ego has been severely deflated....

I don't care about what qualification he does or doesn't have, or that he seems to have an opinion on everything fitness related.

What I don't really like about Pipera, is that he can't seem to accept that some people have an opinion that is different to his... Just because their opinion is different it doesn't mean thay they are wrong or that his opinion is right - and that is something he can't seem to accept!

The one thing that really bugged me though about Pipera is he had a go at Body Combat and said he doesn't like the way Body Combat has gone... blah blah blah - then in the same post he admitted he hadn't gone to a BC class for 3 years!!! I could understand it if he was a BC instructor or a regular hard core participant like myself, but to openly criticize a program, then admit you haven't done it for 3 years is a bit 'dumb' in my opinion.

As much as enjoy reading and replying to the banter between Pipera and everyone else, I think there are much more interesting things to talk about...

    over and out Cool
