ooops, I posted a post quoting the definition of "Codependency" and it ended up in the moderation queue. Maybe it'll appear someday?

I do think so if LM admin does not forget to approve your post...

oooh that was fast, it's appeared already!

    pipera:

    I clearly remember that post.

    Background:

Someone posted a comment about them just coming back from hip replacement surgery and they were asking if they could do Bodybalance. I said something refering to text. Then Dr Jackie Mills came into the thread around page 4 of that thread and Jackie said something that they can do Bodybalance and she offered her advice on what they can do. (An excellent reply back) form a qualifed Dr. Jackie said something in the thread and I went off to investigate what Jackie said, I simply posted what I learned. I asked Dr Jackie Mills for clarification on the issue. She clarified. the point. I came back and said something and Jackie replied back. I then left it at that.

Furthermore, I repsect Dr Jackie Mills and what she said in that thread. There was no dis-respect given to Jackie Mills and it was implied then I appologies to her for this if that was the implication.

ok I know people are posting to leave rod along, and this is probably a good point to let this die. But I really feel I must clarify what actually DID happen on this particular topic.

An instructor actually asked if it was possible for a participant who had a hip replacement to participate in bodybalance. Rod piper replied that.......no, she couldn't. After some discussion, Jackie Mills replied that yes she could participate, but some modifications would be necessary.

Rod challenged Jackie and said she was wrong.

Rod, your story about your dad is irrelevant. Jackies advice on that topic was all that was necessary, since she is the official response from LMI on what instructors need to teach from. Not only is she a practising doctor, but she IS bodybalance.

Anyway, that was a long time ago, I was merely using it to point out that, Rod Piper cannot be stopped. I did find a very successful way of moderating him on my forum, but alas, this forum isn't moderated and he's been unleashed again. And you can't stop people from wanting to post. Those that say "leave him alone" continue to contribute to it as much as the people who bait him. Seriously, this situation cannot be stopped unless a) the forum gets moderated or b) the forum is closed (like the previous time).

So I guess people either have to deal with it, or continuing fighting about it.

Thanks for that explanation, Mel. I have only been a member of this forum for about a year, so that gives me a little more insight as to what might be going on in Rod's mind. I've always been amazed at how much more knowledgable the student thinks he or she is compared to the teacher.

I would rather see the endless ramblings and unrelated spewing than have this forum disappear.

I'm always amazed by how knowledgable these three day wonder instructors think they are!  the irony is in their having to wear biking shorts and jerseys to build up their authenticity.

Tight chorey, suggested cues, and a tight contract that bars them from getting too "educational" probably keep a lot of them from showing how little they know outside of the DVD dogma.

Students can spot a poser a lot easier than you think.

Strawman arguments do nothing other than make you look silly.  They're worse than trying to argue from authority (which is the main tactic of pipera).

The objection to Strawman arguments might be made in reference to singling out RPM instructors, but certainly not to the material you quoted which was a generalized response to a generalized statement.

    Ending this thread.

I suggest you all breathe in and breathe out.

I was going to rant and more ranting but the gentleman and the adult in me is practising restraint.

    Move on to other threads.

Another logical fallacy that continually shows it's face here is "Poisoning the Well" which can also be found on Wiki.
