    BJ 50 conclusion?

So been teaching it for 6 weeks or so now and wondered how its going down at everyones clubs?

I have loved this release and also embraced all the the + options and the breakout options. Participants loved the build of this release which has kept them interested(and me).

Couple of old issues that still need ironing out me thinks. As discussed before the latin block needs much more comlexity to keep it going (more + options) ive intoduced interested things like swapping feet on the mambo everywhere and going in another direction but its hard work to keep them interested(having said that more hip hop/funk and NO latin would work for me :) ). The recovery is PAINFUL! Lasted about two weeks before they were yawning. Also the scoop section is far to long and repetative(just the first track). More short blocks like the cardio funk with the same complexity in the + options will turn this programme around in many clubs IMO. Looking forward to the next release.

    You mean BodyJam 50?

In short, BodyJam 50 is a huge success in my opinion. Amazing music, wicked choreogrpahy and a killer workout. I can't imagine BodyJam getting any better than this.

I've only released it about two weeks ago. I predict the recovery will be the firsst to be swapped out. My participants seem to be finding it simultaneously boring and too complex. I don't know - they can't wrap their heads around some of the "swivels." So far they're still crazy about the Latin - I position it as a simple first block that is meant to warm us up and excite us even more than the warm-up did, in anticipation of the big Cardiofunk block to come. They seem to accept it as such - realizing that it's not meant to be complex or terribly cardiovascular, and that this serves a very real purpose since the rest of the release is SO cardiovascular.

We're all still in love with Cardiofunk and Tribular House and I think we will be for a while.

Haven't even looked at the + options yet. I'll probably go at least another week (or longer) before I even think of folding them in. We're having so much fun with the base level that it's not an urgency.

Due to some instructor illness/injury/vacation, I'm teaching BodyJam 50 six days in a row this week -- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'm sure by Sunday morning I'll have a different, less glowing opinion of this release, but only because it kicks my butt so hard. Seriously - I'm only on day 2 of this 6-day marathon, and my ribcage (intercostals) and back are throbbing. But this speaks to what an incredible workout BJ50 is.

Hmm, I've only taught it once, but I love the recovery!  I'll have to watch for the problems you described.
