    Calf Muscle pain during Attack

    hey guys!

got a bit of a problem..i absolutely love doin attack, but recently during the first few track my calf muscles tighten up somethin rotten and get really sore!! and i usually have to drop down and do the lower options!!!!
it usually loosens off during track 5, then im fine for the rest of the class....altho sometimes it happens towards the end too!

any ideas about what causes it and if theres anything i could do to ease a bit...or to stop it happening!?

    Thanks,

owch!! not good, i love attack also and at times when i have overtrained (naughty really) and my body is screaming at me ( my piriformis like to yell at me).. i find that warming up on a bike and stretching well before really helps!!! i also now go to see a sports masser, she is ace and that has helped so much!!!!!

heaps of things can cause it, but you should always be mindful that technique is right.. please dont think im suggesting you do have bad technique as i have no idea at all.. just check your grounding your heels as if you are doing it a lot on your toes your poor calves will be screaming at you!!!

if it is real bad get yourself to the docs just to be safe!!!

hope it gets better soon :-)

    hey

    thanks for the reply!!!

I might try doin a we gentle warm-up or something in the gym before attack then!!!  I'm pretty sure my techniques not too bad...i do have a tendency to land toes down sometimes though..will need to really focus on heels first!!!

if it dont get better i'll go get checked out!!

    thanks again,

    X
