Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

I get the feeling given the (rather small) educational booklet we got at the weekend when we get the new CD/DVD it wont be like everyone else gets. For a start they are still splitting off the educational part of the notes, and Im sure they will come in the cheap wallets rather than the cover and case elsewhere.

So we are paying extra to get a LM DVD (rather than fitpro copy) and colour notes.... do changing notes to colour cost that much to do??

But fitpro are blaming les mills and licence laws???

And said they are looking into ways of making it cheaper for us in the near future..

Sounds like your were right! Some guys in the UK have just got their "new" DVD/CD/NOTES "pack" and suprise suprise, colour notes yes, but the DVD, CD and notes are still seperate. No nice DVD style container like everone else gets! Come on LM , sort Fit Pro out will ya!! Hmm

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

its a shame we will not be getting the DVD style packs that the guys at Super Saturday did -they looked good...unfortunately LMB wouldn't let me order them when I booked SS because of licencing rules...FatCatPro have the UK monopoly...so much for globablization eh...a bit of real competition would be good IMO

I reckon Super Saturday must have been much better event than the essex SQW...could do as many sessions as you liked for 90 euro - none of that 20 quid a class stuff. and you could try programmes that you no certified in!

there was 7 different sessions throughout the day

     i did 2 x combat, 2 x Jan, Balance and Attack

oh and dont forget the after party with food and drinks included

it was fantastic weekend and I would highly recommend anyone from UK to visit next year!

see mrrockets write up on the Combat forum

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

I am unhappy about the price increase but grudgingly have paid for both quarterly workshop and dvd, but I refuse to pay more and not get the pack all in one! I thought it was bad that we did not get the packs previously why are we being left out.

But let's be nice a little to fitpro if it is UK licensing rules they can't be blamed for that side of it.

But why for the last year have I not received my CD's on the release date, why do mine take a day longer don't blame the Royal Mail.

Finally due to these price increases not just CD's/DVD's - Module Training as well I have put on hold learning my 3rd program.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

    The supers were a disgrace..

Nothing wrong with the presenters they did a good job..

But it was cheaply done, rubbish goodie bags the ones last year were not bad so why give me a mans pro t shirt in large eh what good is that???  i d sooner not had one some rubbish they wanted to get rid of outta there office is not my idea of a goodie bag..

It was done all last min so we missed out on Rach Dan did a wicked job but as i didnt know i missed his pump, so i was left with a class that 25 mins b4 had no weights left, sound system was bassy couldnt hear the music or the presenters..

I went to get inspired and in combat i did but pump was a waste of my time and money..

And what was the projected image of les mills on the grubby wall all about??

Next year im gonna spend my money in sweden as they have a good line up you can do as many classes as i want ( not paying £20) per class which is a rip off..

I think the uk is a disgrace and am signing up to do kick fx as they seem to be hot trackin behind fitpro ..

I love combat and pump but i cant keep funding it i ve got to make some money as well not give it all to money robbing fitpro..

So more money less quality , get home from 1/4 ilies and no dvd in fact still no dvd so i cant learn it..

Why cant we have them at the 1/4 ilies like everyone else??? might give the incentive to go to the 1/4 ..

I know lots of instructors that are now not gonna do 1/4 and are gonna copy cds and dvds cause they have had enough..

    Will someone ansa this thread/?/

Mina - I bet no one from Fitpro comes on here. If you are angry - as many people are you need to write directly to the top at fitpro.

The top guy's name is Brent Hallo. Write to him. I have.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Would anyone be interested in writing a generic letter to fitpro that we can all put our names to ?

Makes sense that we if we want to be loud and heard (blah) as they encourage us to do, then we should do it properly.

Bit like a petition i suppose.

You'd do better to all write individual letters - volume of complaints speaks much louder than one letter with a bunch of sigs.

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Okay, so I've just received my Attack 58 and Combat 33 DVD/CD/notes package and did open with a certain amount of anticipation and excitement. Surely the extra cost to me and 'ra-ra' (hype) by FitPro means that this is a package worth at least a little excitement, right?

Wrong! Oooh, I'm so disappointed. So, combat dvd is now khaki .... 'ooooh' and the attack dvd is orange 'oooooh' and .... yes, and .... erm what else? Oh yes, colour choreo notes - big wow. I'm underwhelmed.

You know what, the QW in Dagenham was great for me and my pal Janice. We booked onto morning combat and attack. Then hung out for a while and were invited into RPM cos they only had 6 booked in. Then we sidled up to Dan and asked if he'd mind if we went to the last Combat - he was cool about it and the session rocked! The classes themselves were fab and I'm excited about the new releases, so I was 'inspired.'

My point in all this? I guess I find it really sad that FitPro are biting the hand that feeds them. Without us, there would be no FitPro - and it's really hard to big up the new release, when in the back of your mind you're thinking that we're all being ripped off. This is no reflection on the releases themselves or the trainers who presented to us - they're doing a great job, but it's hard to separate the two. No wonder groups of instructors are copying discs - if I'd thought of it this time, I would have done it too. So the people ripping us off are getting ripped off themselves - go figure!

Work it out FitPro - if you bite us, it'll come back to bite YOU in the bum!

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Ok everybody just reading all replies with intrest, that is the exactly the reason that i don't attend many workshops, they don't inspire me, i don't learn a great deal from them !  i rely on getting inspried from within, Fit Pro are a rip off and as a business doing very nicely from us all, attending worksops etc if we allow them, as you are aware is a nice little money spinning deal for the business, brings regular income for the organisation. we as instructors have to look at postive ways to reduce our learning costs especially if we are delivering a number of programs.

one way is to teach in a club that will pay for the resources, thay is what i have just done , took a small drop in the hourly rate, but ( and a big but ! i get all my licences and BTS music etc paid for , i teach 4 programmes ) so it is a case of swings and roundabouts, long term it will balance out,

so we have to take into our own hands to change the way we work and look at ways we can get round the every increasing price rises for the material.

at the end of the day we control our own destiny, and take the path we choose. Cool

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Well got my Combat and Attack on Thursday and felt really ripped off!!

I looked forward to the new material and thought we would be the same as most of the other countries and get the same.... but no we have been Fitpro'ed.

Got me thinking though their stupid action of splitting out the education must cost time and effort we are paying for.... plus we got a second copy of education notes after getting the first at the workshop at Dagenham. Surely it would be cheaper to take the original LMI notes and pass them on rather than split it and do new covers.... with the BTS logo on.

CD again looks Fitpro'ed as its got UK ppl on the text and BTS logo, why not pass on the CD from LMI like they now do with the DVD.

We are paying more now to still to get inferior notes and CD's and still get no pack.

We should use BLAH as well to vent our feelings as it asks our opinion on materials and ours are naff so mark it down and say why in th ebox at then, enough of us do it LMI should at least make some sort of comment to Fitpro... well possibly

Re: FITPRO - PRICES GO UP!!!..........

Well I would like to add my moans to this thread too....

    1) Leaving aside the issue of now having to pay for the DVD separately, it's also annoying having to wait for it after you've done the QW.  You do the new release, come home all enthusiastic and keen to start learning it....then have to wait a week before you get your DVD.  Why can't we get a receipt online and show it to collect a DVD at the QW?

    2) If cost is an issue then why the **** post out the DVD in one pack and CD in another?  Could have saved on postage there for a start!

    3) The quality of the CDs continues to be shocking.  I didn't even manage to play mine once before it died.  I put it in my PC and track 1 just didn't work at all.  Wouldn't play, wouldn't rip, nothing.  Phoned up Fitpro who promised to send me through another CD but no sign of it yet.  Just as well I'm not supposed to be launching the release until next week I suppose.

    4) On another note, I've been trying unsuccessfully to get hold of an instructor code to access the instructor area of this website and they have been useless with that too.  They emailed me one which didn't work and then referred me to LM who told me I had to get it from FP.  Confused  Speaking of which if any of you UK instructors could help me out with a code that would be fab.  If you PM me I can scan and email you my cert so you know I'm a genuine instructor!!

    5) Oh and finally whenever I phone up I usually get cut off at least twice and then it takes ages to get hold of anyone who can help Super Angry

So yeah, I agree with everyone else, the overall level of customer service from FitPro is shocking.

    Beth
