Re: Bodypump 64 What your Highlight?

I was SO confused for a moment when reading the title of this thread....  I thougth 64?!?!?!  We're still on 60!  But, then I realized that the songs you're refrencing will be on release 61, here in the states.

While I haven't received my releases yet (seems like everyone else in my state already has them...) I am looking forward to the Pink, I'm Not Dead Track.  She is being featured in Jam this relaese also, and after having purchased the album since a few of her songs were coming up, I gotta say, I'm excited!

    Kudos to Glen and team!

I really think one step forward has been achieved with release 61 from the Chorey point . I think variety is the word this time, specially for squats, tri's and shoulders. Music... fantastic. What a great workout

    Kia Ora All,

Quarterly is this weekend so I haven't seen or heard any of the music or choreography but I am very excited about seeing it all for the first time...

Really enjoying teaching 61... Once you get the timing right in the warm up anyway! But I love a challenge... Love squats especially I think! & Lunges!

Track 2 is pretty hard to learn though at the begining.

    Hey All,

I just got back from Super Atlanta Quarterly and experienced 61 for the first time....LOVE love LOVE Big Smilethe lunges and I think the chest track is a tad harder on this release than it has been on the last 2 which I really like.  The lunges are a highlight for me...I really like the changes in the lunge track the last 2 have been boringSleep

In working through the memorization and upcoming presentation of 61, I am looking forward to the lunge track.

I am always complaining about the difficulty of the lunge track, but DAMN!!!!  And I mean, DAMN!  This track is certainly one to be writting about!

Be ready for it, as it's ready for you!   Wink

Hi, I'm loving 61 and so are my participants!  Big Smile Overall it's pretty challenging and a bit different which is great. It's a shame  the tricep track isn't a teeny bit harder!! Apart from a couple of odd tempos I think my highlight is the lunge track....hard but kind of fun (in a weird kind of way!!) Huh?

Re: Bodypump 61 What your Highlight?

Finally figured out the timing and best way for me to cue the squat track.  I'm looking forward to that track now!  (I was a bit scared of the beginning of it, tricky timing, at first.)  I think that one will end up being on of my new favorites.  BUT, I love squats (and the back track) anyway!

Re: Bodypump 61 What your Highlight?

AH-HA!  Asking me to share my secrets!  Tsk, tsk.  (Just kidding.)  I'm glad to share!

On the first 4/4 (after the break) there is a small cymbal crash that marks the beginning of the first 2 4/4 reps (before the beat kicks in.)  I make this little tick, tick, tick sound like a metronome (I think it's the music teacher in me) to help the class keep the beat (since there is no back beat, only weird syncopated instrumental music) to keep the beat to.  After the first 2 reps, the beat kicks in again and you're good to go!

I hope that helps.  Kinda hard to explain without having the music playing and talking it through at the same time, but I hope it's pretty easy to figure out what the heck I'm talking about!  Yes

ahhh, I take my hand off the bar and count down with my fingers. It's something I do often anyway......cue with my fingers, cuz I often get members that try and go too fast.
