    Training for the class?

Hi all, my goal is to be an instructor for this program but I still need to build my endurance and strength. My plan is to do this class twice a week (when my work schedule allows it), combat twice a week and pump twice a week. For those days that classes aren't available, can you all suggest what I can do to increase my strength and endurance? How often should I be exercising? Currently it sits at around 6.5 hours weekly. I also try and do flow once a week. I am working on losing some weight but it seems to be hard to get off but I am more concerned at increasing endurance and strength.

I usually do pump and attack back to back and really push myself...I have seen a real difference over the past few months with respect to energy levels.

    Hey

I teach attack and I also do a lot of fitness outside of class, as the class iteself doenst become your excersie any more but the classes, you will still get a workout from attack but I found you need to be a lot fitter!!

I do a lot of running which helps, weight training arms really! and balance (flow) is a must. I have only recneltly sarted to do balance as I found my flexibility decreasing from doing so much attack!!

    Hi Taylor

Thanks for your input...I actually was thinking of doing some running outside this spring/summer. I love to rollerblade as well. I know this might sound bad but I cant stand working out on a treadmill so anything else I can do outside that is more fun I do. We also live by this big gigantic hill and my goal is to start walking it to work everyday (as work is up the hill for me), it is quite the workout when it is a 20 minute climb!

I want to do flow every week at least once to increase my flexibility but I find with my work schedule (I work 50+ hours weekly) it can be hard to fit in.

I had the strangest experience on Tuesday; I went to a combat class and came out really energized and wanted to go running...so I think my energy levels are finally starting to pick up.

    Hey there,

I tend to disagree with this statement - I find that even when I'm teaching Attack - I'm still getting a great workout, mainly because I'm practicing perfect form and precision. While I think it's important to add variety to your workouts, the best way to get into better BodyAttack shape is to do it! 3 times a week if you can!

I also find muscle conditioning (BodyPump & BodyFlow) to be really helpful - the weeks where I do more Pump classes, I really notice a difference in my Attack performance. If you can mix up some Pump classes with Flow and add some rollerblading into your mix, I think you'll be doing just fine! :)

     Happy Attacking!

Hi yer I agree with what you say but if you teach attack 5 times a week say, then I personally think that more training is reuqired. programme fit needs you to be fitter than the programme so you can demenstrate perfect form, good energy levels and be a perfect role model.

    Re: Training for the class?

Well attack is only taught twice a week at my club because there is only one person who is able to do it. I did the class tonight and notice that my legs felt like lead...do you think pump is sufficient twice a week? Should I be doing it three times weekly...I usually do it Monday and Sat but can put one in the middle.

I just find it frustrating when my work schedules occupies so much of my time and I can't say no...this would be a side job and something I want to prove to myself since I enjoy the classes so much.

Is there any kind of health regiment that you all follow to boost your energy levels and maintain good physique?
