What is your usual weekly training regime? (Dan & Rach please reply!!)

I'd love to know what sort of training regime other combat instructors follow, and especially what the super-fit Dan & Rach get up to - I bet it's hardcore Smile

Here's my current week - I do change it around but this is what I'm up to at the moment....

    Monday - teach combat
    Tuesday - rest day
Wednesday - 4m run, balance class
Thursday - weights in gym, then jam
    Friday - teach combat
Saturday - pump and combat (not teaching!)
Sunday - 2 hours Tae Kwon Do training - a variety of stretching, patterns, kicks on pads, etc etc.  Plus slow/easy 3m run.

What do you all get up to in an average week?

I am overloaded with Combat I know but I'm loving it. A typical week combined with an office job and housework etc:

Mon: Teach 2 classes, Aerobics & Combat

    Tues: Teach Combat & Tone

    Wed: Teach Combat

    Thurs: Teach Combat

Fri: rest day one week, participate in a Combat class the other

Sat: Teach 2 Combats am, pad work pm

Sun: Teach Combat am followed by jacuzzi, steam, massage and pub (oops!)

None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.

    Good morning...

Just happened upon this post as I was running up Mount Cook (havent got time to sit down and check these things as I'm so busy keeping fit)...and thought I would drop in and share with you guys what we do day to day..

Each morning we run 10 k before breakfast..

I eat 4 egg whites - Dan eats 8 egg whites

Followed by a protein shake, toast, passion fruit, fillet steak each and cup of English Breakfast tea

Then we take an early bird RPM class to warm the legs up before training with the ninjas out in the bush..(secret location that only we know as if you knew, you'd well, never come back...)

That takes us to 10am, where we snack on sushi and protein shakes

    Teach our BC class...yadda yadda..

Lunch at the steak house..big feed...dan's plate is super big feed

Then in the afternoon we pump out some strength training..

Mid afternoon we have stunt work..

     Before we teach class again..

Stretch out on the climbing wall for a quick hour..

Dinner is mainly a full cooked chicken ...for me...and 2 for Dan..washed down with a cold beer or two..(gotta have balance in your life)

After dinner we do a quick sea swim to warm up, ..

Ready for our  training session in the ring...light sparring...with some MMA work

90 mins of Bikram Yoga to work on our flexibilty..

    60 mins of meditation...

    Watch LOST on TV..or House..

    Sleep...Wink

I assume that rach and dan do all that training with the Rocky theme playing in the background

and their planned winter holiday will be in a barn in the middle of Siberia :)
