cds jumping when downloaded to Ipod

    Hi

I downloaded attack 60 to my ipod to learn my chorrey but from track 4 to track 6 there is a lot of jumping.  I cleared it and downloaded it again ( now done it 3 times) and still this happens (plays ok on stereo)....this happened before  in shoulder track on a body pump cd  (the good charlotte track)

I spoke to other instructors at our club and they have managed to put attack 60 onto their Ipod no problem so is it just me that keeps getting inferior cds???  My balance 40 plays ok on good quality Sound system and on my Ipod but when I play it on a portable sound system in one of the clubs that I teach in the abs track (KT Tunstall track) jumps!!

    Whats going on??

    Hi Millie,

I don't think it's your CDs.... I have the same problem, where all my BodyStep releases were skipping on track 6 on my iPod.  I have 4 BodyStep releases since I trained, and I purchased 4 back releases, so I know it couldn't be all 8 CDs!  I tried burning a copy on my computer, and when I uploaded, it still skipped on track 6.  When I burned a copy on someone else's computer, the copy uploaded to my iPod just fine.  I think it's either my CD-rom drive is damaged, or that my computer is older than my iPod so the technology doesn't correspond.

Try using a friend's computer, maybe someone who has a newer computer than your own, or have another instructor burn you a copy and see what happens.  Good luck!

    Hi

Unfortunately iTunes does not enable CD Error Correction by default.

I don't have iTunes in front of me, but you go into Preferences>Advanced>Importing and there's an option that says "Enable CD Error correction" or similar.  You probably can guess why I know this... Wink

     Cheers
