    I don't think they ever intend to make any of the clothing worn in the dvd's to instructors. Probably b/c it's too expensive to mass produce that much of it and they don't sell enough to make it back.   I think we can all agree that LMI's clothing is way too $$.  So, something tells me that the clothing worn in the dvd's is for those instructors in the dvd's only.  Not intended to be sold to all instructors.   They may look at it as each time they do a dvd it's like a "show" they want new and fresh designed clothes for each release.   I appreciate that and like it as it shows that they are putting something into the planning and look of each master class.   Think about it....if they did each master class with the same drab clothing or plain clothing on it would sort of take away from the special look of each master class.  The clothing has a lot to do with the look of the video.

     Look at it this way, if you get to be in a master class on stage than you'll get to have the special clothing. LOL!    But, I still say those calf high boot/tennis shoe thingys have to go! LOL!

     spot on on it making the videos more exciting.  it WOULD be so boring if they just wore black shorts and shirts every time.  I doubt that they wear thier launch outfits when the teach thier reguler classes, but that is what makes the launch to fun.  its different and over the top.  if you dont dress up and try different things at you gym for the launch the i suggest you try it.  our members love it.

    on the boot though, my wife has them and she loves them.  she does wear them in reguler classes and wishes she could wear them more.  dont knock em till you try em.

    believe what you will.  there is  NO one who is wearing calf boots and street cred tee shirts to a regular bodystep class...if you wanna dress up for launches and etc that is cool ..knock yourself out. my point is that they wear this stuff on the vids and its nothing really that a regular member is gonna be wearing to a typical class...and more to the point it is nothing at all like what  a typical instructor is gonna be wearing at all either for that matter. Now if those on the presenter level want to be in a whole different world from the rest then so be it....yet  if they wanna wear that stuff then make it available to ALL the instructors not just the special group of presenters/trainers  was my point.

    ===============

     for the boots . . you're right  , no one really who just "works out" are gonna buy those boots to work out. But, my class gets a kick out of the instructors wearing it  . .they think its fun & sexy . . it opens conversations as well. So it does serve its purpose . I love them because they are comfortable & they look totally hot and my class likes because they think its fun . .

    I'm what you would call a typical instructor and i would wear what they wore when teaching a regular class. One for the perks for me of teaching is i get to wear things i wouldn't normally wear if i was working out. And i take full advantage of it . . now if i was only "taking" a class, then yes i wouldn't wear the gear.  As an instructor, i want to stand out, not only in form & fitness but in the look as well.

     As for the clothes they are wearing in the DVD .. . . they are available to us . As Mops said, those are Nike items so we as instructors can buy them  . .  we , as a grp in my gym, decided not buy the outfits and just took inspiration from the DVD & went for what the "feel" of the release. . . thank goodness for Target.

     Now, if they launched/ wore something that is "branded" ( like what they launched with a few release back , Moko shirts/ tops) and was not made available to regular instructors then i see your point . . i would like to be able to have the option of wearing what they wore.

     Our gym does not allow us to teach without branded clothes  . .our only exceptions are launches and even then we try to get at least our shirts printed or embroidered with a LM Logo on it.

     I am eagerly awaiting new branded clothes though because BP Master Class team has been pretty much been wearing the same ol' stuff from when they launched the clothing line . .  :D

    Re: 71 clothing

    We do dress up and make our launches special.   I never insinuated that we didn't.  Not sure how you ever got that out of my post.

    My point was that the clothes worn on the dvd's aren't intended to be sold to all instructors.  That the clothes are designed for the specific release and that's the end of it.   Also, I meant that if somebody ever got the privilage of being on the oficial Les Mills stage that they'd get to wear the special clothing that all of our fave LMI instructors wear.

    As much as we mocked it at our gym after we watched it, I know we were really secretly jealous. I would kill to look so rocking in books like that. They moved great in them too!!!
