First step: Talk to your instructor!
There are a lot of reasons an instructor may not change the releases often:
1. They're a new instructor and have only learned the one (or need to keep teaching it to film their video.)
2. They have received feedback in the past (or present) that the class like getting the same release for a long time. I've known of clubs where they do not mix at all in the 3 months because the members don't like it, they want exactly the same thing till the new release comes out. Not my ideal but some like that.
3. They "don't have time" to mix (because this involves learning/re-learning choreo.) A terrible excuse, IMHO. If you don't have the time, don't teach. But it is certainly a reason why one might not mix.
Until you've talked to them though, you can't expect anything else, because maybe they don't know you need and want a change. Most instructors won't take it personally if you get tired of the same release after many weeks! And those who do, well, they have attitude problems that I'm sure come across in other ways, and they're probably not an instructor whose class you are dying to go to.
Just be honest and tell them you like their class but are bored and it's leading you to work less than you were.
Free the body.
The mind will follow.
