    Re: bodycombat

Report any youtube user you know has uploaded combat videos. That's what my girlfriend (also an instructor) did and they were removed.

    Report them to emily@lesmills.com

    Well said Warrior Jules!Yes

We Instructors pay ALOT of money for our training, workshops etc etc... and it's unfair that anyone would get them for free and for participants to use them without supervisionAngry!!  I'm getting sick of reading participants on here whining about how they feel THEY should be able to watch the DVD'sSuper AngrySHUT UP and ATTEND the classes we deliver.  Some things are for US Instructors as educational tools.  We will present the programmes to you.  If you want the DVD experience, go and get qualified and teach the programmes?  Not good enough?  Then stop moaning!

And thanks to the person for posting the email address for us to report these youtube idiots toCool.

Yo Mr_S where ya been???  Wink  Classic response, I think you got your message across... just.

There shouldn't be an instructor out there that disagrees with this.  But then who's doing the youtube posting Tongue Tied

Participants - I've been there myself, unable to access BC at home and if I missed a class it was literally the end of the world when I was a participant.  BUT, these resources are not for distribution, they are for instructors to use as educational tools for delivering our class.  If you want the DVDs then go get trained and see what us instructors had to achieve to be in the position to teach you.  It Ain't Easy!

Pretty drastic, but worst case senario:

    1.  DVDs available on youtube.  2.  What's the point of instructors buying what's freely available = they stop.  3.  Instructors lose their licence to teach in a class.  4.  No more classes....

    Re: bodycombat

Nothing beats the class atmosphere with great instructors. If people want to work out alone in front of a fuzzy picture screen, poor sound, scrappy download, limited space etc ... they are missing out on the what the classes are all about. Too bad for them.

I dont agree with the DVDs we pay and train hard for etc etc for being on you tube either...

Anything that has great value will always be expoited, stolen, copied, pirated etc..Its a compliment in a way and another free advertising tool. Tommy Hilfiger said... let them steal my clothes and get the name out there ! I still buy my DVDs, which I look forward to because of what the package is in itself.... educational material for me to  enhance my classes and help me build my class numbers. To this date, no one at my club has come prepared and pumped up knowing the chorey..... if they did I'd ask them to be in the front row!

No one can spoil YOUR launch. How YOU present it counts the most.  The fact that we are posting information about the piracy in the first place is promoting it! If you see something that you feel strongly enough about that is illegal and really affects you ... report it!  let the big guns do the work, re the above link.

Do your best, stuff the rest.

List of things to do today. breathe in breathe out.

    Re: bodycombat

As a PARTICIPANT!! Let me say it clearly so there is no misunderstanding I also agree the videos should NOT be on youtube. But if the video was put on youtube it sure wasn't a participant who put it there!

Now I don't see why participants should not also be allowed to buy the videos.

1- I think no one will trade a class atmosphere for their living room...kind of depressing just thinking about it.

2- Spoil the launch??? Don't think so. I admit to seeing some of the tracks on youtube and I am in no way less motivited for our launch. Actually I'm even more psyched!! (1 week left Party!!! )

3- We can learn the chorey better..Sure ok...What's the harm?

I finally got to see who Dan and Rachel are and I was delighted. For most of the participants who limit BC to the class they couldn't care any less since most of them don't even know there is such think as a launch DVD or who Dan and Rachel are. For the one who come on to this site and participate in forums (which doesn't mean we love BC any more or less then the others, just probably more curious) we have heard so much about these things that we also want to see what everyone is talking about.

From the couple of tracks I saw I would without hesitation buy the video for pure entertainment. Because if you look at it without the chorey notes and all the rest that you instructors get with it..that's all it really is a simple video, no more no less...so why shouldn't anyone be able to buy it?

I agree that the instructors should be the first to have it. I think the video should be available to everyone and I don't think it would be a problem if it would be available to the public a release later. For example BC 35 would be available to non instructors after BC 36 was released. If i liked a release then I could buy it and there would be no excuses of spoiling launches and so on...

    Re: bodycombat

for me its all about practicing at home so i dont mess up in the class,it take me longer than the rest to learn the moves.i only download it for myself and i dont put any of it on youtube,it comes from the instructors in the first place :)

    Re: bodycombat

    I'm a participant and:

    1. I purposely didn't look at any Combat 35 on YouTube, as I didn't want to spoil the element of surprise.... did that once and it sucked...

    2. Hello......it is an instructor posting the official DVDs....

    3. Most of the films on YouTube today are not Rach and Dan, but different instructors around the world who have filmed their classes. STILL NOT GOOD -- people who don't know anything about BodyCombat could get a very very very wrong idea -- think "Turbo Kick Box Monica" (see the Combat vs Turbo Kick forum topic).

P.S.  Yes, this topic may have been around before, but chill out.... life has too many constraints as it is....

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride!' (Author Unknow)

Ooooh ive just been upgraded to an instructor.    Gerardway, shows you really know what your talking about dont it.  Im not an instructor and therefore do not have access to the dvd's, so in that respect there is no way I can upload them to youtube.    Im like all the other participants and visit youtube when I know someone has uploaded them.  I would be obliged if you would kindly retract your statement.
