    ironing wraps!

I find I simply must iron my wraps before using them, anyone else feel the same?  ;o)

No, the fabric can't stand the ironing so they are not so elastic anymore. I ruined half a pair of wraps this way Crying

out of all the sets of wraps i have, one pair do really need ironing after washing.   You just couldnt wear them if you didnt iron them.    The rest of my wraps are fine though

If you do iron them, make sure your iron is set to a low setting.

The other option is to roll them back up once they have dried, they tend to straighten out enough to wrap your hands easily. I use to iron mine and found that rolling them up for 1 hour is enough for them to get them flattenend out enough to use.

    Re: ironing wraps!

Just roll them after they're washed and secure them with a rubber band (because you all roll them with the velcro on the inside and the thumb loop on the outside to make them easier and quicker to put on properly, tightly and quickly, don't you?)

Why iron when you don't need to?

Actually, I only wear wraps for classes where I'm making contact with a bag, so it's sort of more significant to get good wrist-support and knuckle-protection in that case than it is in BC, hence my being keen to be able to wrap well quickly.

    Re: ironing wraps!

As much as I love Combat. I can't stand the thought of having to iron my wraps. I usually put my wraps in a laundry bag in the washing machine and when they come out, I hang them over my shower door. Before I roll them, I run it firmly along the railing and then they are flat enough to roll up.

Perfect for next BC class. Sometimes when I'm in a rush before class, I put my weightgloves on. As long as I have something on my hands, I feel I can workout harder:)

I agree: please don't mention the "I" word anymore!

    Re: ironing wraps!

I think my Blitz brand wraps are just cotton, with no elastic to ruin.  (And yup, I roll them velcro first!)

    Re: ironing wraps!

This is the reason I went back to gloves instead of using wraps, sad isn't it? All so I could avoid ironing...

Don't iron, just roll them up!
