    What a Virgo!  Yup 208

     ----------

16 during the bridge after the first combo

    16 during the total combo

8 during the Muay Thai  vs Caporiera after the push kicks

    64  during the Whoo Hoos!

And then repeat on the Right!

Oh and just noticed on the coaching tips for the first 16 knees: Start low and relaxed, because soon you'll wish we hand no more Knees ever again!  Devil

I managed the last 16 as jumping scissor knees the other night in a fit of madness!!

     ..............

    NEVER AGAIN!! Indifferent

Funny thing I thought 8 being easy choreography I could breeze through after getting kicked in the gut from 7 (whicih is never really possible) BUT those darn jab crosses at the end kicked what little behind I had left!

BC35 was too easy?  Dont know how you can say that, even my instructors are knackered by the end of each class with this release.  I think if you really push yourself 100% it a hard release.

I put myself 300% in every class. I'm definately kicking & punching, not floating on clouds.
I do felt BC35 is easy.

I love BC36, a bit upset at the abs track being too short... it is such a fantastic song :). Everyone in my class loves Zombie Big Smile

Wish we have more kick in BC37.

Yes, people will like and dislike the odd thing in a release, but when you hear things like "This release is boring or dull" or "I can't get a workout in this release" next to comments like "The best Combat release ever", "I have never worked so hard as in this release" there is something up!

Now the choreography is the same everywhere, the music's the same everywhere so why such a big difference in opinions?

Answer: It must be partly down to the instructor/s as they are the only variable in the pre-choreographed format! Wink

Not really... it's depends on the fitness of the participants......

Some unfit or elderly participants found every release hard  :D... I'm sorta fit so I sometimes need more challenge sometimes..

but I do think it also important to have the instructor that able to push the participants according to their level of fitness.

Yes it is important to get an instructor to push the class as I have some v fit seasoned combaters in some of my classes, hence the last 16 jump knees I did in track 7!

Makes me laugh to be honest all these "I don't find this release hard enough" comments!

    Well try harder then!! Wink

There is always a slight tech modification to make anything harder. This is where the instructor comes in. Like Dan's use of the 4 levels in track 8's hooks for example. Go longer in the jump kicks and try to out distance the person next to you. Try and jump higher (with proper tech!) than the person next to you in jump knees, try and run with knees higher than anyone else ........ the list is endless!! Cool

I've only done 2 combat classes the past 2 weeks the new release (i've been avoidng) has been going for (out of the 4 i usually do per week).. I was the only the only male participant in the 2nd class (a weeks space between 1st and 2nd class), which in itself is very strange because its usually minimum a 20:80 (minimum) male:female ratio.. it seems this new release has killed off the male participation of the class completely.

OHMYGOD This release is gonna be a blast teaching it.. and a challenge too! But it's good.. we don't want to lose our toned and fit shapes now do we??
Kudos to Dan and Rach for presenting us once again with a great workout!

Was wondering.. did anyone else notice an uneven distribution of techiques left and right in track 2? (A and A1 get repeated two times on the left and once on the right) Not a big issue to me.. but was just curious.. think this is the first time I see something is not 100% evenly divided.

Pretty sure that was a typo as in the DVD it's 4 on each side!  This release is a BLAST!

Yeah it's a typo - watch the DVD for the correct moves.

The chorry notes for Track 6 are pants as well - if you read them for the second half of the track it reads as if you do it all on the same leg as the first side!!

    I'm damned, I'm hot and I just can't stop

    Re: BC36 - what a sensational release!!!

I haven't looked at this thread, or tracklists or anything until now - our instructors rolled out 36 for us today. I like it. It makes me work hard, it's got bits to knacker me, bits to challenge my technique to improve, and the music's pretty good too.

That's all I want, and I'm pretty happy that I've got it all Smile . Oh yeah, our instructors are great too, which helps <huge grin!>

I've been invisible for a while - profile got deleted, so I'm back and 'friendless' with a post-count of about zero - so hello again everyone. Big Smile

    Re: BC36 - what a sensational release!!!

Sensational it is... After a "delay", due to waiting-for-the-outfit issue, we finally had the presentation tonight and I was blown away. I love the music (Boooorn to be wiiiiilde....)

Anyways... one of the best warm-ups ever, the claw had me "doubting" before actually doing it, but it is so fantastic, and the choreo in track 4 is just amazing... Well, seems like those plyo lunges fit in just fine (hate'em and love'em at the same time)... and that Muay Thai is really good. I love the "all of a sudden" ginga... That... sort of a break in the track. Really good... made me work even harder on those front kicks.

Well, looking forward to mastering those moves. A great, great release...

    cheers,

    M.
