    I' ve Enrolled!!

    Hey Guys

I have just taken the plunge and enrolled in Body Balance training its not til the end of the month, but I'm in desperate need of some tips and advice.

I'm already trained in Pump / Jam and Combat, but Balance is definately going to provide a different challenge for me.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Good on you Gillian my friend has just about finished her balance training she has her day 3 this weekend she has loved every minute of it so far, the best advice i could give you is do as many balance classes as you can so you can work on your technique before hand and you also need to use your "indoor" voice for balance no kia ahaha allowed in balance Wink

Congrats, Gillian!  I must admit, I am SO jealous!!!!  I've taking Balance classes at the quarterlies, I love it!  We don't have Balance in my city, so no hope of doing the training!  Crying

That's Great!!!  BodyBalance/Flow is one of my favorite classes to teach!  In addition to taking Balance/Flow classes, try a yoga or pilates class as well.  They will definitely help with technique.  You will love your training module.  The experience is AWESOME!  Good luck and let us all know how it goes!Yes

    Re: I' ve Enrolled!!

Agreed! Taking yoga and pilates, in addition to having a good feel for the essence of the program, helps a lot.

The best advice I can give, though, is come in being prepared to go from the first minute you walk in. Allow yourself to be completely present, involved, and in the moment. Practice that in the weeks leading up to the training, just in your everyday life, and you'll be in a really good mindset for the training. If you really make an effort to be completely committed to the process every step of the way, it will help you so much with the challenges you face, both mentally and physically.

Example, no stressing about the final test on the first morning! If you're open to your trainer's lessons, and work every moment of the experience to the best of your ability, the final day just becomes icing on the cake. The whole weekend is so wonderfully structured, go with the flow!

I am not from Aussie.  Can someone teach me what that is?  And, how is the Kia Kana pronounced?
