    Re: 45

Jeez, I just ran through it again this morning by myself, and I'm still feeling rather dorky with the hips/swing arms in the warmup and the shoulders with the step tap in Feedback and Livin' a Lie.  More practice!

Oh, we are launching ours on the 27th and 28th this month. Three weeks after I did my training. I'll be going for tuition today.

I still have to learn track 8 and track 10.

I sssssoooooooo agree with all comments, BJ45 is absolutely wicked, energetic, fun etc and I am going to have to practice my butt off for our launch.  Stick out tongue But I'm gonna love it, own it and dance it to the end.

    Re: 45

As i said on the other thread this one is a lot of fun and I love the tricksy little details. Great music too... what can I say, I'd do anything for Pitbull ( don't tell the husband).Embarrassed This is going to be a bit harder to learn in time for launch ( 3 weeks-ish, yikes) so I'll have to run it twice a day... oh what hardship.

So relieved to have another fun and challenging release! Ready to retire 44, at least the doing of all the blocks...

The offbeat double-single knees are killing me timing-wise!

    Re: 45

Yeah, it's killing me too. I still can't seem to get it right.

    Re: 45

Well getting used to picking your knee up on the beat is tricky, I myself focus on my other foot more.. cause that foot taps down on the beat, and the other one half beat later... I managed to get my timing about correct that way. Only danger is that by focusing on the foot that has your body weight, I found that my knees werent going high enough.. took a little bit of work to fix it, but I think I have managed to do it ;)

    Re: 45

Ok, so I was doing the release this morning and trying to analyze the knee lift.  It helped me to be sure to put all my weight on the hopping foot, but to push into the toe of the kneeing leg on the offbeat.  Sort of like, Hop, push, hop, push.  On the video it looks like they really do push into the foot to lift the knee.  And of course, they are slightly turning the hips out.  I had thought it would be difficult the first time I did it, but with practice, it is coming more naturally.  Now it will a challenge to figure out how to cue it so the members get the rhythm.  I found the same problem with the "Get me Bodied" track in 44, as the members seemed to want to shift their weight too much and it ended up looking like a sideways sort of run.

We just launched 45 and its amazing!  Members cannot wait to do it again. G did it again, and made a release that rocks the freakin house!!!  I think this will be my favorite release, close second with 42.

    Re: 45

The awesomeness of jam 45, helped me get through the disappointment of a poor release of another les mills program. I haven't been doing jam for long (maybe 12 classes in total), after about the 4th class of this new release I really got the things down properly and really enjoyed it to it's fullest. I love how Daft Punk fades in out of nowhere when you least expect it, it's a great fun song to put everything you've learnt together and just go at it over and over. Daft Punk track is very memorable.
