    South East Quarterlies

    Hey gang,

I was just curious - is anybody disappointed about the SE Quarterlies being held in small gyms?  I am hearing about these huge, organized quarterlies everywhere else. Just wondering why ours are so small.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!  It really is a bummer that SE is not up to par with the rest of the areas.  We see all of these great photos from Quarterlies from around the USA but ours are held in a Gold's Gym?????????  I must say that the first Quarterly after the LMI/BTS split was fantastic!  However, it has been a very steep downhill from there.  Maybe they need to take some notes from other distributors or go to a BTS quarterly (which I hear and see on their website are bigger and better than ever!)  Can we vote them off of the island and get a distributor who knows how to throw a party????

    Re: South East Quarterlies

My beef with Qs is that they dont put the info up soon enough on the site. I mean you see folks talk about the next Q is going to be held in such and such a location and these folk are usually national trainers who get an advanced as it seems word about locations and dates and times but the rest of us groundlings have to glean info from these trainers by word of mouth or on this site....

for instance I see that evidently the next SE Q is on JUNE 21.....heard that first on this site...then I see that evidently it will be held in Clemmons NC on JUNE 21 but there is NO WORD of it at all on the events calendar yet!

another case in point ...by now everyone is talking about the SUPER Q which is evidently AUG 23 in NY....had to find out about it through the grapevine again....gleaned from trainers postings and talk. YET THERE STILL IS NO MENTION OF THIS ON THE OFFICIAL EVENTS CALENDAR!!!!!

I know that all the details have not been worked out as of yet but really this is rediculous...such things can at least be posted so that people can plan ahead. Things like the SUPER Q which require advanced planning for travel and to a lesser extent the local Qs too......COME ON THOSE THAT ARE IN THE POSITION TO DO SO....GET IT TOGETHER SO THAT FOLK CAN PLAN TIME OFF FROM WORK AND GET THEIR ACTS TOGETHER IN ORDER TO BE THERE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!

Probably a big reason that attendance is not out the roof is that this very POOR advance notice  keeps folk going to these events simply because they dont have enough time to plan accordingly. YOU MUST GIVE THE MAJORITY OF THE INSTRUCTORS TIME TO PLAN IT IS THE AVERAGE INSTRUCTOR WHO REALLY NEEDS THE ADVANCE NOTICE NOT THE TRAINERS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!

Pardon my ranting.. but sheesh this can be handled in a much better way than the poor way it is being done to this point!

Although I know the "big" events & venues are more exciting for some... I prefer the smaller settings.

At least they are held where we can get a shower & change in comfort (not in a bathroom stall like at the "Big" Atlanta Quarterlies in the convention center).

Plus - smaller venues are sometimes more accessible for those of us who don't care to fly or drive 8 hours or more.

    Re: South East Quarterlies

I'm totally with all of you. I live in AL and can easily go to SE or SC quarterlies but the ones in Atlanta used to rock. I saw that the Northeast Quarterly this round is incredible - tons of Les Mills video presenters from NZ will be there.  I'd like that to be offered a little closer to home. If airfare wasnt so expensive I'd fly back home to visit my family up North again just to go and do the LMNE Quarterly.  Has anyone tried to calling their Les Mills agent and making a requests yet?

I agree they can be more accessible, BUT, with the smaller venues, they usually don't have the space to cope with everyone wanting to go.  It has gotten to the point at my gym that we don't even try to go. Not really worth the money to go hang out at a Gold's Gym, while some people are paying the same amount of money to go to the big venues and get the NZ trainers to come.  Maybe they can throw a big one in now and again to keep it exciting.
