    BodyAttack66 - comments?

We had our last part of the quarterlies on Friday. I loved BA66 even though the running track had this English version of Dragoste Din Tei (in BC41 too), I hate the song, it's on my "top10-worst-ever" with Macarena and Ketchup song Super Angry But overall BA66 was a tough package, I was really on my limits in T9 but it was worth it!

Yes!!! it is one of the 'toughest' release (much better than 64) and i too dont like the english version of Dragonste Din Tei Tongue Tied.. but overall, all the tracks are tough in terms of their workout!!!!!!

RPM + Attack + Pump + Balance...I breathe on les mills baby!!!!!

Speaking of Track 9, some clarification please. Is it one of those tracks where chor-e is supposed to be off the beat (especially those three forward jumps with the tuck jump)??? Just couldn't follow what the instructor was doing. Started off the beat, next minute it was on the beat, back off the beat etc etc Occasionally there is a track that works off the beat. Is this one of them? Confused

Good luck getting your head around track 9. The choreography is a mess and the music is awful.

Instructors, please be generous with your verbal cues on 7 and 9, or else, you're going to see a whole lot of lost faces in your class. We need them for those hurried chor-e changes. Angel

    Re: BodyAttack66 - comments?

Just did the new release today! (so much fun... and misplaced steps) and right after a Pump session too. My quads and calves were literally screaming at me. But, still heaps of fun, and all the girls dressed in pink :)

Must say the chore hasn't changed that much, some new things, like those little step things that I could not remember, but it'll sink in after a few goes (I hope). Lots of shuffles while punching followed by lunges. Was told there were a ridiculous number of push ups (100+), but didn't find it that bad!

Must say, I liked the first half better than the last half. But, it's good to have a change of music and chore. Everyone loved the cooldown track :)

yes, it's a bit tricky and I think I figured out why. We are so used to first run forward 8 or 16 beats, then high knee run (or what ever) in front, then the same run back and repeat what ever you were doing in front. Now the 3+1 package STARTS with that! So you start with 3 forward jumps and one tuck jump, only after that you run 8 beat forward, repeat 3+1 in front and run back where you started. So it's a mind game Devil and also the track has some "additional" beats, meaning you need to count something else than 8 but if the instructor competent, she/he will guide you through it.

A-ha! Yes Therefore, it is crucial the instructor starts the routine on the right beat and stays on it, or else we will all be lost. There are not many musical landmarks to help one get back on track.

Haha, it was rather funny because the ratio of girls:guys was about 20:1. In actual fact, there were only 2 guys, regulars, so they was pretty used to it. It was very cool seeing the flood of pink though. Our instructor was even brave enough to wear pink eye shadow... sweat n'all :P must say it turned out alright.

Can I just say that now that I've seen Track 9 properly executed  Wink (i.e. chor-e and timing), I think this is the piece de resistance of 66; a case of the best being saved for last. It is a stellar piece of work; such an agreeable track compared to  65's "Jump",  which plodded along seemingly without any resolution and with none of the peaks which are inherently characteristic of a grand cardio finale. Loving it and can't wait to do it again. Big Smile

    Re: BodyAttack66 - comments?

    The Good:

Track 1 "Just Dance" is one of the best openings to a Attack for an long time especially with a gym with great base speakers.  Blends very well into track 2.

Then there is track 4 which is a tough one to say the least but good to see the rotating lunge make an appearance.  The track "Big Fiesta" generates the energy required to get through this sucker.

    The Bad:

Can't Get Over (Short Disco Mix) fade out?  Yuk.

All up it is a very good release.

I love this release. Just did it from the quaterly launch in Paris today

Yes, the track 1 is one of the best openings ever

And the 104 push-ups is tough but what a great feeling after doing it

    Re: BodyAttack66 - comments?

    My 2cents...

Track 1 - Familiar opening moves! All in a good track music wise, chore as you'd expect for  warm up.

Track 2 - Love the music but don't like the split in moves. Starts with galops, heel digs and flicks then it seems like a second half appears with an endless flick / cross arm runs combo. Did they run out of ideas for the last 2 minutes?

Track 3 - Love it. Good track and bread and butter aerobic moves. The straight into shuffle on the first beat can catch you out as we are used to starting with a jog intro. (Still trying desparately to co-ordinate arms and feet with the shuffle combo!)

Track 4 - OK track, works well.Music a bit mind numbing.

Track 5 - Fantastic. 104 push-up fairly easy to get through given the right coaching

Track 6 - Hate the song. Pretty standard running track aside. How short lived is the "ha-ha" line?

Track 7 - What is it with agility tracks? This one is another mess. Rhythm combo? What's the point? Seems to be thrown in randomly with a million skaters. Again the last minute - couldn't it be filled with something more than skaters?

Track 8 - Like the track(s) and again bread and butter chore

Track 9 - Great when you get it right! As said before, the tuck jump combo is back to front from the norm but that's cool. Not sure about the diamond arm jacks and there are a lot of quick changes to cram in.

Track 10a - Sweet. Like the last one but with a slight twist.

Track 10b - Three programms and I'm sick of the track. Chore is a top work out. Like it.

Track 11 - Yuck yuck yuck."Swing it out - groove a little" WTF! It's nearly winter here

Summary - tracks 6,7, 11 will go ASAP. A few participants don't like the Rock music of track 9 (I do tho!) and it's all been fedback to Blah! Roll on 67.
