    Mixing Releases

Does anyone mix tracks from various releases or do you stay with an entire release when teaching? We were told at our Training we should not mix releases and had to play an entire release as one.

Yes I have made a mix of three different releases and it has gone over well with my members I throw it in when things start to get boring before launches. I was mindful of the tracks I used so that we are working  a variety of moves.... Go for it...

    Re: Mixing Releases

I think it's a personal thing. I myself would only ever mix one half of a release with another half in the last few weeks before a new release. I do agree with Susan Trainor's directive here-mixed up releases tend to feel a bit all over the place. But that's just me...keep on flippin' those cd's if that's your thing...

    Re: Mixing Releases

I gotta say, I do mix and match, but I do keep in mind what Susan has said about common themes/moves running through a release...

e.g. on some of the releases a move in the Tai Chi & Yoga track may be used again in the Release & Restore - so I would use both of those tracks, and so on with other tracks...

So, where I do mix and match - I'll only swap out probably 3-4 tracks max from a release, but do 8-9 tracks from the same release to maintain the common theme...
