    rpm 44 two racing positions?

the education on the dvd explains the new racing position, yet on the master class you coach both the old position and the new position.  Do you mean to have 2 race positions now or just the new position?

love rpm 44 we launch oct 17, can't wait.  it will be a great hard workout for those that like hard workouts.

Start track 2,4 and 6 in the "original" position, and then get them to slide forward(hips, not hands) a cm or two..

Easy to cue, and as long as they don't end up with knees over toes(aim for bar of pedal)..all will be well!!

    My thoughts..

    Hi There,

Great question!  Always good to clarify something when its new.

You only slide fwd in the saddle in tracks 2,4 and 6 when we ride on the beat.Smile

So in track 6 for example when we go  into Racing at 3/4 - 1/1 we don't slide fwd yet as we are not on the beat - when  we hit 1/1 thats when we slide slightly fwd in the saddle.

Hope that this clears up any confusion.

Cheers, hope your enjoying the release!

Hi Sarah, I understand why we do this, and it really works too, which is great!

But what I'm not sure about is, when we teach previous releases, do we follow the original choreo notes which tell us to slide back when racing on the beat, or do we apply the new 'rule' to old releases and slide forwards?

    thanks

    Hey Karen,

Great! In the old releases now apply the new rule of sliding fwd in the saddle when you race on the beat in track 2,4 & 6.

    Any questions just hola!

    Thanks Sarah,

I've suggested this to a couple riders in the past with knee problems, and they have told me their knees did better. I showed this to my entire class this morning, making sure before we started that their knees did not extend out beyond their toes. When it came time to slide forward they knew exactly how far to go. Several riders came up to me at the end of class saying how they have always hated race position because it was difficult to keep up with the music, but today they loved it.

I'll be changing over on all older tracks from now on.
