    BodyJam 51

    The silzzler of 51 #

BODYJAM® 51 is here to drop a funk bomb on the floor in your club! We’ve got hits from T-Pain and The Ting Tings, the best Gloria Estefan track ever and the hottest House anthems of the year! Track 1, Scared Of Me from Fedde le Grand, is so funky it should be illegal. The first combo comes back strong in the second half of the class, so feel the correct flava from beat one. T-Pain’s track, Freeze, will take you through the Isolation block. This is about feeling your hips from the beginning. Sing along while you get your class to “dance like me”.

Get your Swag Swag on to The Ting Tings’ Shut Up And Let Me Go – one of the hottest tracks from 2008. So what is Swag? Swag is your flava. The style is purely you, and you know you are all over it! Make it oversized and Swagalicious, baby! The new Tribal Salsa routine is a cosmic concoction of Latin styles. It’s going to fire up your floor and push your heart rate through the roof. Are you ready for the hottest, nastiest Recovery Track ever? Missy Elliott’s anthem One Minute Man is Hip Hop 101. Get yo’ Bounce Bounce on with the Kick Back Step. Surrender yourself to the rhythm and Leave The World Behind! This standout anthem of 2009 is so phenomenal that we’ve included two versions for a full 11½ minutes!

Want more jammers on the floor? Use the two complexity levels to grow your BODYJAM® class. Teach the low-complexity version for at least three weeks before adding in the advanced options. Get your class comfortable with the release as a whole, then start throwing in the advanced options over the next couple of weeks. Save some of the trickier options for later to keep your advanced class participants on their toes.

Wasn't Shut And Let Me Go already used in Body Jam 47?

yes, it was. Huh. Maybe its a different mix? It does seem odd. Also, I love One Minute Man but it seems a little dated..

I totally know what you mean, that warmup is KERRAYZEE!! Love it so much!! Love the whole release... No flaws. I think even the latin bit will be interesting for quite awhile. Yes

And yes, as mentioned the Ting Tings song is a different mix than the one in 47. And eventhough One Minute Man isn't a brand new song, it makes an übercool recovery!!

BJ51's definitely up there with my favourites 48 and 45...

Definately up there with 48 for me!  Trialled a few of the tracks last night on my class before quarterlies in a couple of weeks and they went off!  Absolutely loved em!

The recovery is such a wicked song (even tho its old as!?) and the moves are hot!

    :)

This for me, is one of my favourites - up there 48 and 45 (and my personal favourite, 34, for sentimental reasons Big Smile).  Love it so much, that I'm thinking about doing  a module on it...!

Yes! This is the best release to do a Jam module on! Do it, Marshy, you know you want to! Big Smile

And on the local front, I'm launching BJ51 at my clubs on 16/11 and 24/11... so scary that it's coming so soon and yet I'm so excited that I'm learning it again (and better yet, I get to teach it!)

    Cannot wait... bring it on!!

Yeah they do that in balance too, and dont even remix the song!

Desert Rose by Sting and Cheb Mami was used for:

    track 2 in release 9,

track 2 in release 24 and

    track 2 in release 44

lol that's one of their more infamous "re-uses"

"This is my body and I can do whatever I want to it. I can push it, study it, tweak it, listen to it. Everybody wants to know what I'm on... What am I on!?! I'm on my bike, busting my ass 6 hours a day. What are you on???"

    Re: BodyJam 51

I have been doing Jam as a participant since back in the days of Ruth Pirihi.

I have done all of Gandalf's releases since he started and IMO Body Jam 51 is one of the best releases he's ever done, equal only to Body Jam 34 and 35 which I still rate as G's best ever.

Suggest all instructors who kicked in after 35 go back and learn Body Jam 34 and 35. Your class will love it. In Sydney, Australia alot of instructors still teach 34 and 35 because the long-time Jammers just keep requesting it.

Body Jam 51 is a real winner all right.

I totally agree with you there Juliew...34 and 35 we're fantastic and loads of fun to do.  If 51 is looking like those then I'm very stoked to do it.  50 has certainly been a change in the right direction for me and the best part of it imo is the cardio funk....while I find I'm getting bored of the rest of 50 that part just is so much fun to do no matter how many times.  "I WANNA ROCK RIGHT NOW"

I soooooooooooooo hope its not like 34 and 35, the blocks are far too long with limited breakout opportunties. The music and dancing very dated. Im hoping its more like 50 as 50 is so going in the right direction in music and length of combo's. Id say to any instructors who are thinking about purchasing these releases...save your money and keep moving forward with the programme!!
