I loved every day, every minute! If you ever get the opportunity .... do it!
We were training on BP63. I had the shoulder track & learnt so much on my first video presentation. Be prepared, I was really nervous and grabbed the wrong bar & wrong plates. Music on, all set the rear delt raises ... my heart & arms sunk, I had grabbed the wrong plates ... 2x what I normally use, it was my first presentation & I didnt want to look like a wimp so I just kept going ..... transition to the bar for upright rows/overhead press .... you guessed it .... wrong weights on bar ... 2x again .... so we keep going, shoulders screaming, heart heavy cos I can feel my form going but we drop to pushups on the bar ... done/dusted/finito
During the video review, I got good feedback about my form/technique which I knew was fading anyway, I mentioned I'd grabbed the wrong plates & got a few wow looks
as tough as it was, I'd finished it, maybe not with the for/technique good enough to role model & teach but with more work ... definitely!
There were 7 of us on the module, my track was always last
so by the end of the day when it was time for our second presentation ..... everyone was shagged
.... I went into my drill sargeant
routine and got em all fired up, had a great time. I think that it was my best presentation, maybe not technically, I got choro OK but needed to cue a bit more .... but I was stoked cos I got the team to work for me
I'm not going into details of the BP challenge except to say be prepared to PUSH YOURSELF, you will go where you thought you couldn't. Example, I feel that my tricep dips are weak, BP challenge had me dipping with 10kg resting on my thighs .... 2x 20 reps!
Big ups to everyone on this forum
I cut & pasted the cues from various posting and passed them out on day to. It seems like sitting on the dunny & toilet are a pretty funny and common cue for squats :-)
Then on the last day I handed out the "you know you're a body pumper ..." posting, bigs smiles and grins all round.
I have got all this information in my head about where I need to improve etc etc etc but I now feel legit, I feel that I can do this & do it well.
My first class back last night, shadowing, I have a different view of the class now. I clearly saw for the first time participants who need CRCing
Looking forward to team teaching
YEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAA
