According to our DVD.
"We briefly slide forward in the saddle SLIGHTLY for increased power as we are under more resistance"
Can someone explain to me how can we get more power by sliding forward.
We coach the pedaling technique by cueing the shifting of the weight back, and drive through our heels. And also, to protect the knee, as if we slide forward, we break the setup rule of the knees being in line with the middle of the pedal cage.
And correct me if I am wrong, sliding forward in the saddle... NO MATTER HOW LITTLE, will cause an arch in the back area. Which also breaks proper posture.
Anyone with any 2 cents on this. I'm all ears.
