As instructors and as a participant we are vulnerable to suggestion through the programs we teach and participate in.
Going into an environment where you intend to be open to new ideas and habits, doing things repetitively and rhythmically over weeks and months. Conditioning is what's happening so what if someone were to take advantage of that?
I stopped teaching Flow for a few reasons one being the music. I joked that there was subliminal messages in the music that were making me feel funny, ha ha right! but maybe not so funny.
I am also a video editor and have recently become curious to see if there were any hidden messages in the songs when they were reversed. It's funny, right hidden messages, satanic messages.... but what if that is part of the mechanism that keeps your subconscious open, doubting the possibility, making fun of it and any one who takes it seriously, and dismissing it, it works like a cloak around the "embed" the subliminal message.
I chose not to dismiss it and flipped around some songs in my edit studio. I had come across Beyonce's Irresistible which was used in the Step program and one of the lines was "have a Cadbury" and other equally subversive negative messages being suggested.
This made me look at Flow.
I already felt weird about some of the music so I started with India Arie's Ready for Love. I was willing to find nothing but what I found were things like, "I'm so sad, I'm so fat" and "I've got to have supper right now" .
While training to teach that track I had joked that I couldn't finish it without going to make something to eat, now I understand why. again not so funny.
The second song I looked at was John Mayer Waiting for the world to Change. This is so far the most disturbing I have come across. The song when played normally is full of Orwellian double speak and subversive messages telling you to be powerless and to just wait for things to change. While on the flip side the message is more deeply set in. It starts with "Lose hope, lose hope" and then into an anthem for war.

I loved Flow, and it pains me to see that this is a part of it. I was considering coming back to teach for 41 but I can't knowing that I would be submitted to and submitting others to subversive subliminal conditioning.
You can do the experiment for your self, just reverse the music and slow it down to about 80%
not all of the songs have embeds but so far I have two solid examples of songs that do...
