Re: Music and chorey(Rach & Dan)

We just launched BC at our clubs with release 30, so our participants only experience with track four is the ESK. Honestly, not many of them do the high impact version, and even fewer do it well.

When I did 31 at the Quarterly I really liked the release and felt like I got a lot of the essence of it and knew I could learn it. I do really worry about track four being a bit beyond the skill of our participants though, as they have only been doing Combat for a few months

We probably won't launch 31 for another few weeks, so in the meantime, I've learned some old track fours (and Muay Thai, sevens) to help them get a feel for where things have come from and feel comfortable with some of the moves that weren't used as much in 30.  They have really enjoyed mixing things up and adding different moves to the classes.

At this point I will probably only teach 31 for a week or so before I start mixing again (or just replace track four), and then come back to it again after a few weeks when participants will feel more ready for the ESK|Front Kick maneouver.

As for the music, I've got pretty broad tastes and I always seem to remember Combat releases as having lots of hard, rocking songs. Listening to individual tracks though, the mix seems good, incorporating pretty different styles of music. They do all have a pretty hard beat, which they need, so that may be why it seems like everything is AC|DC and Guns and Roses. Love, Love, Love the Scooter tracks. To me, they are the E-Type (Pump regulars) of Combat; we could have a track by them on every release and I wouldn't mind one bit.
