Before the risk assessment police came and put proverbial safety stickers on physical movement. ( mostly the USA and the UK) People were teaching on car parks, beaches, grassways, airless rooms blaha blah.. for years. oh and bare feet some of the time..Now I'm not saying we should go back to those days but a bit of common sense wouldn't go amis.
I teach combat in a massive sports hall, no air con and a concrete floor every week. No such luxury as a sprung floor and god... Id love a bit of fresh air... You get used to it and I wear decent trainers.
Still I guess it depends on the climate of the country and the litigation expectations.
Now take the Netherlands for example, people take responsibility for themselves, they fall over, they get up. Exercise at your own risk or don't exercise at your own risk. Simple. rather have it this way than the endless paper work and worry i had from my home country.
