    Pre choreo v participant injuries?

Has anyone ever found that certain pre choreographed exercises have injured any of their class participants - i.e. BP abs, alternating  extended legs (using an additional weight over head as an advance option), even abb exercises in BB, BS - what if class particicpants have a weak lower back (that they dont afore mention to their instructor when pre screening class) and they keep following the same exercises as the 'pre choreographed' class, to find out weeks later that they have badly hurt their back, been off work for few weeks and keep getting back spasms when exercising. I understand that class particicpants should mention about any injuries, pregnancies before class starts, plus see a physio /GP with any problems....but in my experience many class participants dont mention about any medical issues, then follow 'pre choreographed' exercises to stay at the same level as rest of class, but to the risk of further damage to the bodies/backs! Any pointers? - i do tend to teach base moves for safety always first, as the well conditioned participants will always lift legs and use arms / weights to make it more of a challenge - but the majority of the class are not well conditioned, not to mention new exercisers following standard choreography that is advanced for them. In freestyle classes i have time to teach safe exercises to the class that is in front of me, instaed of sticking to pre choreo that is potentially going to cause harm!
