    Hi Lisa,

I have only been teaching since January but I came to Flow dogmatically as a participant for just over a year before that. I find myself often referring back to how I felt as a member in the class for how I now teach.
I like to set it up with a few active relaxation cues, maybe say something about the value of giving yourself this time, and what your body gets from it. Some people just don't like to lie around, so I like to let them know that something is still happening here and that they have to tune in and listen. I speak with a soft voice and pause between what I say, I keep it short and let them have most of it in silence. If I look out and see people struggling I may give a few more cues for breath and letting the mind settle and leaving the outside world.
Some members need the guide through meditation, others like the silence. You really have to feel the room and the over all feeling of the class you just taught to see what is best ;p

    Namaste
