Enjoy!

The Muay Thai inspired BODYCOMBAT® 42 transports the class to Bangkok! This release will take you on a Martial Arts journey, from Karate and Tae kwon do to the boxing ring. Fight your way through and hope you’ve got enough left in the tank for the epic Muay Thai onslaught that is Track 7! Sing along to Kelly Clarkson’s I Do Not Hook Up while warming up with Side, Front and Roundhouse Kicks. Then get ready for Karate and Tae kwon do in a battle of Martial Arts in Track 2! Find out how fit you really are in Track 3. Boxing is the name of the game in six rounds of interval training. You are in the ring and you don’t stop! Watch out for the new move in Track 4 – the Sweep will knock your opponent out of the way and work your inner thighs at the same time. The class splits into two groups for some social interaction, fighting style, before you’re whisked away to Brazil. You will be practicing the art of defense and attack in authentic Capoeira to The Prodigy’s Warrior’s Dance. Now, what we’ve all been waiting for – eight minutes of Muay Thai! This track will transport you to a dark fight club in Thailand and push your heart rate to unknown heights. It would be a Miracle if you could do the last Power Training Track with the same energy you started with. Your speed and endurance are certainly tested in this track.

Body Combat 42 is here!
I had an ultra sound and a CT and that showed nothing, so 4 weeks ago I had an MRI. Turns out I have a stress fracture in my Femur, a Labral tear and assoc Bursitis :( Not the news I was expecting. I'd been resting the week before the MRI and the week after till I could get back into my Doc. He then told me to rest for the next four weeks and we would re-look at things.

so i'm now into week 4 of no exercise and i'm climbing the walls, i'm cranky, i'm irritable and i'm fat (ok, I know i'm not fat but I feel bleugh). I can't wait to get back into it. And the hardest thing is the food! It's so hard to cut back on my food, i'm used to eating a heap and obviously I can't justify that when i'm sitting on my ***! It's reafirmed for me that I exercise to eat lol!

So, has anyone had similar injuries and gone back to being an effective instructor? I'm so worried this will plague me forever...I don't know what i'd do if I couldn't teach, I love it so much.

A popular radio station will be there, plus they are giving away Nike prizes and gym memberships... it sounds like it is going to be a fantastic day and the weather forecast looks good!

As part of the 'street party' they are having 2 classes outside (on the street). Body Combat at 10am and Body Attack at 2pm

My question is - has anyone done Body Combat outside like this before? - what are the risks?

a couple of people have expressed concern about doing combat 'on the street' but I can't wait!!

tuck skip?

Hi! A question for instructors, please. I'm learning 29/track 5 to team teach with a friend so I have the notes and music...no dvd with me. There's a move called a "tuck skip"...done after a single body rip and before an 8-count skip...what is a tuck skip? Thanks!

Will I lose weight if I did 2 hours a day of BC?

Hi Guys,

I'm a 25 year old female, I am 165 cm tall and i weigh 70 kg; I've been struggling with weight since my childhood, I've never been "slim" . the worst is my belly, thighs and hips. I occasionally tried to excercise and/ or diet but lost motivation when I didn't see immediate results.

6 months ago I started to do TaeBo three times a week, it made me feel better but I didn't lose weight, I stopped doing TaeBo when I "discovered" Body Combat. I fell in love with BC, I do it because I like it and not because I have to and went straight to an hour daily (instead on 3/ week).

I want so desperately to lose weight, I am considering two hours a day instead of just one but will it work? And I sometimes feel a pain in my knees and elbows after the workout so I am not sure adding an hour daily is the right thing to do. I want to be slim for once in my life; I am 25 and will never be 25 again...

I know that the key words are "eat healthy and exercise" but define healthy?! and exercise can range from Yoga to BC (or is there more? I kindda need someone to tell me if you eat this much a day and do that much exercise a day you will lose x kg in say 6 months!

ANY help you provide would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

The fat lady

P.S. I’m an Engineer and my job requires that I sit on my b*** from 8 to 16 then I have to study (sitting on the same b*** ) for another 2 or 3 hours daily, what I mean is I’m not a very active person and I can’t do anything to change that fact! (it is my job, my career).

And I apologize for any grammatical mistakes; English is not my native language.

I was planning on taping last Friday (that would have been 8 weeks since finishing training), but couldn't because of my injury. Now i'm wondering if I should file for an extension. The orthopedic surgeon that I saw today said to stay off of it for 6-8 weeks or it won't heal properly and I could have chronic conditions. Ugh!
