This disturbs me; I've been doing RPM for more than two years now and cannot imagine life without it.

I've never done a regular spinning class, nor have I taken any of the branded cycling classes at other gyms. I might have to join a 24-Hour Fitness or LA Fitness, both of which seem to offer analogs of RPM. Has anyone taken 24Cycle or any of the other proprietary classes? I'm hoping to learn how they compare to RPM. The idea of freestyle classes scares me because I am so used to the structure and format of RPM. Are these other classes structured at all?

I also see classes such as Turbo Kick that seem a bit like BodyCombat, which I also love, but again, fear is the mind-killer.

If anyone has any insights, I'd be most grateful. It would help to know what specific class at what gym brand you're referring to. Many thanks in advance--

Gabe

leg drills

in the older releases we used to do leg drills in the warm up, now they have disappeared, how come?
Haven't gotten my new release

Help!!! The new release is out. My charge card was billed 11/6/09. I got an e-mail saying that I'd get my pack in 10 days. It is now been 14 days and I've gotten nothing. I spoke with other RPM/Pump/Flow instructors and they've gotten their stuff. Who do I need to call?

For RPM training, what's your Sat night like?

I'm certified in BodyPump and have been for 10 months...I teach 3 classes a week and LOVE it. For the last 6 months or so I've also been doing freestyle spin 2x week.....sadly no certifications in spin (the owners know this as I've been somewhat following her freestyle method). I have a decent following and people seem to enjoy my music, etc, but I'd like to of course be certified and maybe attempt to transition at least one of those classes to RPM. I live in a more remote area and normally have to travel 3-4 hrs to get to a training (and then pay for gas and hotel, etc). Luck has come my way and there's an RPM training coming to my town!!! Now normally this would be totally fabulous and I'd be ALL over it, however, I have a friend visiting me that same weekend! Training is Sat and Sun. She leaves early Sun, so Sunday isn't really the issue. And since she has other friends that live here even Sat for training could probably be worked out...but it would certainly be expected for me to hang out on Saturday after training for her last night in town. We do plan to lay low - maybe go to a movie, etc, so no Sat night clubbing or anything.

I'm assuming you present a track on Sunday???? I know for BodyPump besides being beat, I had to learn a track for presentation the next day. How difficult is that night between training days? It doesn't help that I don't get to take RPM classes often due to scheduling...thoughts? Do you think I could spend minimal time Sat night as long as I can be at the training itself?

Anyone still using many of the old tracks?

With the chorey changes, does anyone go back much to older releases for their playlist?
I know this has been discussed in the past, but would like to have some updated info or experiences.

Anyone teaching RPM through pregnancy? I am not right now, but it's in the near future plans and wouldn't like to stop teaching.

Any experience will be appreciated!

RPM "beginners" class?

Does anyone have any materials/posters/flyers/phrases that are geared toward inviting newcomers/beginners to RPM? My club just opened up a new timeslot for RPM and I'd like to build numbers by making it make it accessible for all levels.
