I counted 72 pushups if you do the alternate shoulder track. (26 in chest track & 46 in shoulder track) It was really tough and the members were amazed when I told them at the end how many they did.
What are your thoughts on this? too many ?
Add 14 tricep pushups in track 5 and your classes will have
some strong upper bodies by the time we are done with this release. I haven’t
done the alternative track, but on paper, its looks like a though one, I doubt
I’ll be doing the last 16 on my toes. I felt BP 80 had too many pushups with 17
in track 5 and 34 in track 8 giving a total of 51. BP 82 clearly blows that one
away with 86 pushups (with alt track 8), and I remember my shoulders not fully recovering
between classes during the BP 80 launch period. Pushing my shoulders to fatigue
and beyond in every class kept them sore. We shall see with this one.
The pro is that you get better/stronger at pushups. I can
just about do all the pushups on my toes in any release now, well except BP80
and I see this one shaping up to be tougher. The veterans here will be quick to
point out pushup heavy shoulder tracks like ‘Something Going On (Crack It)’
from BP 50 and ‘War Machine’ from BP 52, but the OP is talking about the whole
release, not just the shoulder track. BP50 had zero pushups in tracks 3 and 5,
same for BP52.
Side note: I got an email from GFM saying we cannot use
original shoulder track Be Cool because of its ‘sexually suggestive’ lyrics so
I’m stuck with all these damn pushups whether I like em or not. Almost like Glen
is punishing the zealots, you don’t like the lyrics of ‘Be Cool’? Well take ‘Airplanes’
along with the 46 pushups. How do you like them lyrics now..?
I haven't done the alternative track yet.
But wow, yeah, that sounds tough with that number of pushups plus some in the chest and the triceps tracks. Tougher than the original one I guess?
Don't forget the 15 in track 5 too... oh, and
