    Les Mills Auckland

Just had a look at the LM Auckland website and timetable. The amount and variety of classes for members is something that all GFMs and club managers can aspire to! Wow, makes me very tempted to move over there, just to become a member there - love it.

Don't forget though that it's an LM club so they probably don't have the budget restraints most clubs have around the world because they don't have to pay the monthly licence fees for all the LM programmes on the timetable! Wink I'm sure most GM's would love to aspire to a timetable like that, but the top dogs who allocated the studio budget wouldn't let it!

Hell it's like we instructors are trying to buy a private aircraft if we mention putting on one more class a week to the GFM's!! never mind another programme!Indifferent

Having a main studio that holds (and regularly fills) 250 helps as well...

have just left the job as GFM and believe me if we could put on those classes, fill them to the max, get the best instructors to teach them and get the budget to host them we would!!!

     never gonna happen here!

going through the Group Fitness Management training would help your owners & team understand the potentil of GF - what having a packed room does for the bottom line, and how to pack the room.  Our owners/mgt went through and we run 8 LM programs - very small club, about 800 members.  70+% of the incoming club traffic goes to GF - license fees are only a consideration if a programs attendance starts to drop - in which case we look at any issues w/ instructor, timeslot, programming options - and action plan from there to build the class

really suggest hitting a GFM seminar - opens the possibilities to offer more LM programs!

    Re: Les Mills Auckland

Take it from me that Les Mills Auckland does have budget constraints and we certainly pay monthly licensing fees like every other Les Mills licensed operation. We are a stand alone business that sits to one side of both the National body (Les Mills New Zealand) and Les Mills International.

The GFM module explains all, however in simple terms the numbers on the floor do the work for you, if you make the investment await the return. There are many examples of this happening worldwide.

We would certainly enjoy the opportunity for everyone to experience our programs at some time in their lives, however in the bigger picture if they are inspired to make change wether it be with us or others...need we say more.

Hey, the sun is shining in Auckland today!

    Chris
