The short answer is no, there are various topics regarding this very subject throughout the forum.  The only way you can get the Les Mills DVD is to become an instructor

Maybe not from LM, but there are other ways to get hold of DVD sets - instructor or not.

    Rick, stop being incendiary..

Of course he "could" get hold of a DVD..would it annoy me? Yes..and why the hell would anyone want to watch one outside of needs beggars belief.

And no, he'll never do it as well at home. We all know that.

Yes, this is a case of "could" rather than "should".

But you know me, I'm a class-junkie and it's improbable that I would ever DIY.

Having said that, I still wish that LM would release some of the back release music, as many tracks are great but very difficult to get hold of.

You and me both......just reading back through some of the tracklistings there's a good few old releases that I'd love to be able to teach but just can't get hold of the music. Ah well......

I'd just settle for just having the mp3s. For example: I Believe -  Joana Zimmer (56's warm-up) is a great track. Cheesy perhaps but it ticks all the right boxes for my taste in music.

However, the original is a bit of a dreary dirge that I wouldn't want, but annoyingly the remix that LM used is damn-near impossible to find. Hence my plea to them to make the music (not videos) available to all. I know it's almost certainly not going to happen, but we're all entitled to our wants.

    Re: les mills DVD??

Interesting note and am not sure if the store's the same (or may be better) in your parts, but if you log onto iTunes and do an 'Artist' search for 'The Instructor,' you'll be a little surprised. Here we have 11 albums chock full of the same 'cover artist' music LM uses when the original won't suffice. PUMP is a little rare, but there are songs from STEP, ATTACK, COMBAT, FLOW, RPM, and PUMP. It doesn't have everything, of course, but there are some treasures in there to be found.

    Good luck! Smile

And have to pay through the nose.

For example, someone is (at time of writing) selling BP71 and the bidding is now up to AU$156, which seems a little ridiculous since LM only charge AU$60 (or thereabouts).

It's also curious how it's slipped out so early. An educated guess says it's someone on autoship who doesn't instruct anymore and sells the discs on for profit.

Either way, I wonder why anyone would pay that much for the latest release. All current instructors will have been sent it anyway, which just means it is likely to be some overly dedicated participant. Especially baffling since, if they just wanted the music, the CD can be found illicitly online for nowt.

If it was a rare legacy release then I could understand how it could have escalated in price so much as, within or without licensing, I'm sure most instructors would be interested in picking up some hard-to-find releases. But paying over the odds for #71 ...

    Re: les mills DVD??

    Hi everyone.

Let me start by saying that I'm also a class adict. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Unfortunately I'm not exactly the most coordinated person in the world so I stick to Body Pump and RPM as moves are generally always the same.

I gave Body Combat and Body Step a go but the clubs around here don't offer any preparation/instruction classes so I landed directly in a couple of packed up classes with no clue of what to do.

Now, I don't mind making an ass of my self in front of a crowd but only as long as it's safe for me and the ppl around me.

My point is that it would be nice to have access to the class videos in order to practice. Or at least some sort of instructional videos on how to perform each move. And no, the learn the moves thingy on the site won't cut it. Body Combat lists 8 moves for god sake :D

     Cheers
