Profile

I am recently new to the fitness industry. In October of 2003 I walked in to Momentum Female Fitness Center in Mechanicsburg PA just shy of 200 lbs. I was out of shape and really looking to lose weight. Little did I know the transformation that would take place. Many Les Mills programs were offered as well as some very strong Freestyle classes. Group fitness is what kept me coming back to workout time after time. The inspiring motivating instructors, the great music and well developed choreography with options kept my attention. I gravitated to Body Pump and Body Step initially & went nuts when Jam & Attack were offered.
I wasn't working out anymore...rather, I was having fun movin' and groovn'. I lost 55 pounds, gained muscle strength, and increased my cardiovascular capacity.I became so inspired by the energy and expertise of the instructors that I began my journey to become one. After obatining my ACE Group Fitness Certification last year, I began teaching some freestyle classes. I was thrilled when offered the opportunity to train to become a Les Mills instructor in BodyVive & elated when I passed the certification! I am now working on obtaining a certification in BodyFlow. I cannot believe the journey thus far and look to continue to grow personally, professionally and inspire others to become fit! Momentum Fitness Center in combination with the Les Mills Programs has forever changed my life and I know others can be transformed too!

Hey Giesala, yes you are right so many other instructors have told me that jam is one of the harder ones to learn and i am pretty sure they think i'd me insane to take it on soo soon after vive (they just say it in a softer way)so thank you for your straight out advice - really appreciate it. Even though i do want to do it i am going to wait (so hard to decide this) till i have taught vive a few times and or months on my own as i havent got to as of yet, plus looking at other factors such as jam not being in huge demand in my area and there are a few instructors around so chances of getting a class at this stage is slim.
Vive 7 is fantastic - took me some time to adjust as it has a theme to it this time but it def grows on you. Im hoping to start shadowing/team teach sometime soon as i kinda no the cheorry now - (took me some time as i was completing my 1st semester at uni at the same time i did my training which was on 6 and then to learn 7 a wk later) im sure you'll like it to.
Let me no how it all goes and what you think of 7.
I luving Jam 45 it is sooo fantastic - warm up has to be the best one is ages.
Take care and keep in touch
